(Edited:I made some changes in the date when our MC would be born, and the corresponding texts, but overall it wouldn't have affected our story in any significant way.)
I was processing every word of her statement. I could vividly recall her words verbatim. This meant I had a very sharp working memory.
I could easily estimate that since Wizarding World is portrayed as a magical world stuck in medieval times while coexisting with modern times, or at least the English counterpart did.
Therefore, if mother graduated in 1966, she couldn't have married more than three to five years after that. And with that, I know, there was no known drop in fertility rate for wizards, when compared to muggles.
That meant, she couldn't have conceived me more than five years after her marriage, barring extraneous circumstances. So counting this right, the most latest I was born could be 1971. And that was cannon timeline, at least I would be an adult, by then.
But this meant, it would be a time where I would have absolutely very little impact in cannon, during my stay in Hogwarts. If I was a child, there was next to nothing, I can do that affect the plot. And I am not so over my head to overestimate my capabilities.
I cannot grow to a Dark Lord's level of power at the age of eleven. There was no secret, no branch of magic, or a "secret I found that no-one knew existed" that can give me a jump in power from "puny human" to "puny god".
And at best, if I am born the latest possible, like say in 1971 or '72, with mom conceiving me about 5-6 years after her graduation, I would be about 20 when the plot picks up pace, in the prologue of cannon, and I would be 30, when the cannon arrives.
That is a sufficient time to root out certain dissenters and traitors, and even air out the dirty laundry of the ministry's corruption and Malfoy's under the table dealings.
But more than that, I realised an important bit of information from the Healer. My mother was in Slytherin. That means, she is half-blood at best, and pureblood at worst.
And yes! I meant it that way.
Pureblood mother would be a blood supremacist witch who lacked common sense, kneeled at the feet of the Half-blood Wanker and screech "Mudblood", while being behind the times in information, knowledge and wisdom. And a Slytherin one, would be an inbred cunt at worst, and self-entitled bitch at best.
IF she followed the demographic of British Pureblood portrayed in the novel which is from the viewpoint of an angsty teenager with an utter selfish glory-hogging hypocrite with herd mentality for a friend.
But I can draw my conclusions and opinions after I cross the bridge, and not before.
For now, I knew the basic checklist I need to tick off.
Find how competent wizards are. So I know how much leeway I am afforded.
Find how incompetent wizards are. So I can exploit them.
Find how different the rest of the world is. This way, I can exploit the rest of the world, while toeing the line of legality.
Find how useful the Room of Requirements truly is. But this will be possible only when I am eleven.
Find out how magic works, accidental, wandless, wanded or with another magical focus, and silent and wordless casting.
Find out IF Ancient Runes is really like the Nordic runescraft or merely a Language course for Cursebreakers, and reading old and ancient tomes.
Find out how the Chinese and Indian magicals work. If they have something like Chi and Xinxia style cultivation methods, then I am leaving Britain and all its 'stick and stones play' to become the Cultivator Bitches!
Find out what happened to Newt Scamander's Briefcase, and to him in particular. I can always offer to look after his creatures, if he is alive. And learn from him all about the magical fauna.
Find out if there is any similarity to Alchemy here with Full Metal Alchemist, Saikon no Quasar, and other alchemy in various animes. Exploit any similarity.
Find out if demonology practises of Alastair Crowley really summons demons here. If they do, then run the hell away and hide in a cave before a Doom Demon comes looking for you in fire, brim and stones.
Find out if towns from Lovecraftian Stories and Stephen King exist here. If they do, never step on those continents, and prepare for interstellar travel out of this planet.
And lastly, see if Spellman's Syllabary is real. If it is, then see if Riverdale and Greendale are here. Then work with this actionable intelligence and eliminate threat to me and mine.
But before all that, I needed to face my first obstacle of the day. An overprotective mother who was kissing my forehead mumbling in Italian "My Boy!" like Smeagol from Lord of the Rings over and over, while gently suffocating me in her endowed bosom.
What a Day!
