บท 19: Chapter 19: After the battles

The capital of the sky country was in ebullition. The news of what had happened to their Daimyo and his family had already been spread throughout the capital.

Before they could even process what had happened another news struck the population of the sky.

Like the Daimyo, several nobles' houses in the country that had existed for hundreds of years and more had also been attacked, some completely wiped out.

Those houses were the pillars of the country.

And like always in the streets of the capital, all sorts of rumors started to circulate between the people.

In a restaurant full of people a conversation between two friends was taking place

In the meantime in another residence of the Daimyo Kana Uzumaki was seated in front of Sukeiro Yanagi one of the sons of the Daimyo he was seated in front of her slowly sipping his tea that had been poured by one of his maids before leaving the room.

She could feel her clansmen and his samurais outside

Kana had traded her fighting clothes for her traditional ones in silence she evaluated him.

He was a handsome young man about the same age as her black hair and eyes he had a nonchalant expression as he sipped his tea, a katana lay by his side.

"Do you really not feel anything," she asked looking at him seriously

"I thought that you could read emotions?" he asked

"Isn't that why you knew that I wanted them dead and that you could trust me for such important tasks!"

"Sometimes people regret or question their actions, I nearly exterminated your entire family?" she said

"I Thank you for that!" he replied coldly and for a moment she felt a little bit of anger at his behavior

"I'm the one who gave you the means to infiltrate the palace, I gave you the plans for said palace and everything else so regretting my actions now would be pointless and counterproductive, don't you think?" he said before slowly sipping his tea

"Why all those questions, you have already done your research on me you know what the Daimyo, my father did to my maternal family, decimated a proud clan of samurai just to take my mother as his concubine because he was infatuated with her, then proceed with his others wives to break her mentally and physically, let them tried to do the same with me, and so many other things," he said calmly as if the story wasn't about himself

"You don't seem very happy about what I did, you seem neutral,"

He looked at Kana for a few seconds and his eyes seemed to light up in understanding

"I see, you feel guilty, for the lives that you took, innocent lives, this is why you are angry, I was trained as a samurai remembers," he said seeing her perplexed expression

"Haa," Kana finally let out a long sigh that

"You are right, I'm angry at you and myself for what I did even though I am the one who came to you for help, do you hear what the people are saying outside, ninjas are monsters and I realized quite painfully that I am indeed a monster," she declares solemnly

"This is good that we both recognize what we are, in the end, I'm not better than my father, I'm happy that you chose me as your husband, haha," he concluded with a happy laugh

"And I'm starting to regret my choice already," Kana complained

"Why cause I'm not that easy to manipulate, don't worry I'm a samurai at heart and body, I respect my engagement so let's get along my wife."

In his office, Hiruzen the third Hokage was seated in his office

Contrary to his habits today he wore a loose kimono open on the front revealing his bandage chest, he had chosen this outfit because it was easier to wear and allowed the medical team to easily tend to his injuries while he received the rapport about the situation in the village and of the front.

He looked at the devastation that the sky ninjas had caused his village with pain and anger which made him groan in pain as his injuries flared a little.

"Are you alright Master Hokage, should I call the medics?"

Hiruzen looked at the anbu that had stopped giving him his rapport and was looking at him with concern

"No need, the state of the village is more painful than those injuries, continue," he responded and the anbu continued with his reports

"So the Uchiha lost fifty-nine ninjas one hundred ninety injured, the Hyuga sixty-two, two hundred twelve injured, the Sarurobi forty-seven..." After citing the number of injured he concluded

"So the number of ninjas dead in total is three thousand two hundred forty-seven dead and five thousand..." Before he could end his sentence he was stopped by the violent coughing coming from his Hokage

"Ohhh fuck,"

It was one of the rare moments that they heard their Hokage swear

"I knew that this was disastrous but I didn't expect that to be that bad," he said he had already heard an approximation of the amount of destruction caused by the sky ninjas and it was in the billion, about ten to fifteen percent of Konoha was touched destroyed due to the fighting that occurred there during the two attack.

"I would have loved to see it sink into the sea by myself," he said

"I know, I'm just rambling," he said turning his chair around

Around the world, the news of massive and destructive battles that occurred in the sky of the land of fire and in the village of Konoha spread like wildfire.
