บท 19: Concert Day
Han Sofia POV,
Nagoya, the first day of the concert,
"Sofia, BTS will be releasing a new album in the next few months. Usually we will start preparing the costumes they will wear on their comeback. I think this is the right time to think about your final project ...", said Kang Yeri Excited
"May I take part in making their costumes?", I asked excitedly
"Of course. We are all involved in the preparation and making of their costumes. But I still don't know for sure about the album concept. The members are still finishing the album. Usually we will meet with the whole team to discuss their album and comeback. You can join the meeting with the other team coordinators, if you want ...", explained Yeri
"Jinjja? Wah daebak!", I said, smiling broadly, clapping my hands enthusiastically
"I'll let you know later, ok. Anyway, all the accessories for tonight are ready?", She asked about work
"Ye. We just took the accessories boxes from the equipment team," I replied
"Good. The members will arrive soon. They will rehearsal for a few hours, then fitting for the concert tonight. These two days we will be very busy, but also fun. Fighting!!", said Yeri winking at me
"Ye, Gyejang-nim. I'm very excited", I replied
When Kang Yeri left me, I continued to compile the costumes that the members would wear. In previous shows, they always wore clothes from well-known brands, but when I saw their concert outfit collection, I was quite astonished because they mostly wore Korean designer clothes and made by the fashion team itself.
I am currently in the waiting room where BTS will be holding their two-day concert at the Nagoya Dome. This room is large, there are rows of mirrors and chairs, sofas, and rows of clothes to be worn at the evening's show.
Several make-up artists and hair-stylists are seen preparing their equipment. However, there are not many activities at this time, all of them still look quiet and relaxed.
"Let's have coffee. I think everything is done, we just have to wait for the members to come for fitting," said Haewon
"Ye, I also need coffee", said Juyoung chimed in
"Ye", I replied and Youra together
Me and the stylist team arrived in Nagoya yesterday morning. We arrived earlier than the members of course, because we had to take care of clothes, make-up and so on for the concert. They bring lots of wardrobes on this tour, and we have to make sure that everything is complete and nothing is left out.
In the afternoon we check-in at the hotel that has been provided, well, Bighit rents 2 to 3 floors (depending on the size of the hotel) for members and staff. Then when everything was sorted out, in the evening we went together to enjoy a great night in Nagoya.
To be honest, I rarely travel, that's why I really enjoy the opportunities I get right now. My friends, Hyuna and Jiwoo, even felt jealous of my current job. They didn't think that I would join BTS's core stylist team and go around the world with them.
"Wow, daebak!", I said when I entered the dining room that had been provided during the concert
There are 3 dining rooms available at the Nagoya Dome for all the staff involved in this concert. According to the schedule I received, in the morning we can have breakfast at the hotel or here. Then for lunch and dinner we will take turns eating at the venue where the concert is being held. Meanwhile, coffee and snacks are always fully stocked throughout the day.
I grabbed a glass of ice americano and a croissant for snacks this afternoon. We chat while occasionally discussing work.
"Annyeong", came the greeting from the entrance of the dining room
We all looked in the same direction. You can see the members entering this room while greeting the staff. My team and I also stood up and bowed to them. They look tired and messy. Even Yoongi looked like he hadn't showered, his hair and clothes were matted, his eyes looked half closed.
I tried to hide my smile when I saw him. Since the incident at GDA a few days ago, Yoongi hasn't come home yet. I'm sure it's because of his busy training. Even though he had called me to apologize for his behavior at that time, but I felt that he seemed to be staying away from me.
Usually he always called me, even though sometimes his messages or calls only contain jokes or trivial things, but he always did that 3-4 times a day.
But since that GDA incident, he has never done it. Instead, I was the one who sometimes messaged him first and he would respond in a short, no-nonsense way like before.
I had asked him, was he really angry with me for breaking his shoes? But he only answered with one word 'no'. I was very confused at first, but I thought, maybe he is like this because he is so busy. BTS will continue their world tour while working on their new album as well, so I think it's make sense if Yoongi behave like this.
"Team, there is a change in schedule, they will fitting first before they practice on stage. So get ready, after they have breakfast they will go straight to the dressing room", said Kim Raim over to our table
"Arasso", answered Juyoung followed by another nod
I immediately finished my coffee and left the dining room.
Twenty minutes later, one by one the members entered the waiting room. Jimin, Yoongi and Jhope immediately sat on a sofa in the corner. Jin and RM went straight to Raim and Juyoung to try on their clothes. While V and Jungkook approached Youra and me.
There are some new shirts and jackets from Gucci that they will wear in this concert, so they have to do some more fitting.
"This is mine?", Asked Jungkook seeing Youra bring a white shirt to him
I was unbuttoning V's white shirt when he started to take off the hoodie he was wearing. I lowered my face, still not used to seeing the members take off their clothes in front of me.
"This is your shirt", I said, handing the shirt to him
"This is too fit on my body, Sofia. Does it really have to be like this?", Said V while looking at JK, Jin and RM who were also trying on their shirts
"Ye. Because you are going to use the jacket again on the outside so we ordered this shirt to fit your body", I replied while showing the coat and jacket they would wear with this shirt
"Arasso", he replied
Then he tried on other clothes for his solo performance.
"I like this coat, it's more comfortable than the previous coat ...", said V, looking at his reflection in the mirror
"By the way, you look beautiful today, Sofia ssi", said V suddenly
"Huh? Oh, gomawo", I replied blushing
"I like your ponytail", he said, showing a boxy smile while playing with my hair
"Andwe, don't pull it ...", I said trying to get my hair out of his hand
But instead he tugged and held my hair high so I had trouble reaching it
"Hahaha aigoo kiwoyo (oh my, cute) ...", said V laughing
Gosh, what's wrong with him? Why is he acting like this. I looked around , the members and my team laughed at our jokes, except for Yoongi of course.
I stopped my laughter when I saw Yoongi's sharp gaze at us. He didn't say anything, but his gaze was terrifying.
"Please stop it, Taehyung ssi. I still have to help the others fitting their clothes", I said smiling at him while holding my hair out of his grasp
"Arasso", he said smiling as he lowered my hair and combed it with his fingers
"No. You don't have to do that", I said trying to distance myself from him
"Gwaencana, I like your hair", said V smiling as he looked at me
"Ah, ye. Kamsahamnida", I replied nervously
"All right, thanks Sofia", said V after finishing fitting
"I was tidying V's clothes earlier when Yoongi came over to me with a sullen face.
"My turn," he said in his deep voice
"Ye. Please wait a moment", I replied
I immediately put V's clothes back into the hanger and took Yoongi's shirt. I almost squealing when I saw that Yoongi had took off his shirt and was waiting for me shirtless.
I could not hold myself back, my eyes slowly fell down on his body. His body was paler than his face. Although he has a slim body, his chest is quite broad and there are muscles that stick out from his stomach.
I swallowed hard, I felt my throat dry. And without realizing it I looked at him with my mouth open.
"Do you like what you see?", Said Yoongi with a grin on his face
"Huh?? Ah, mianhae. I, I, umm, I'm sorry", I answered haltingly after realizing what I had just done
"Here's your shirt," I said nervously
"Put it on", he said in a low voice
"Huh? Alright", I replied while walking behind him to help him put on his clothes
When he moved his hand, the muscles in his back reacted to it. How can a back look so seductive like this?, I thought. I shook my head trying to calm myself down.
Yoongi put his left hand in, then I moved around to help him put his right hand into the shirt. We are carried away with our current activities, so that I do not realize the situation around me.
Time seemed to stop, it felt like it's just me and Yoongi right now. I didn't know that wearing clothes could feel more erotic than taking clothes off.
I was buttoning his shirt when he suddenly said,
"You look really enjoying staring at men's bodies like this. Is this the real you? Teasing them with your innocent attitude?", He said coldly
"Huh?", I tilted my face to look at him, confused by what he just said
"What do you mean?", I asked, frowning
"Not only you ... I can easily tease the women around me," he said softly, almost like a whisper
I distance myself, stare at him questioningly.
"Don't act stupid, Sobi. Our marriage is not a real marriage, right? So we are free to do whatever we want with other people," he said, grinning
"What? What do you mean?", I said even more confused
Before Yoongi could say anything. The door opened and several people with large cameras walked in.
"Annyeong, yorobun. Sorry we just arrived, there was a slight problem with our equipment. We will continue shooting from today. And I also want to introduce our new assistant director, Miss Park Soyun", said a man in his mid 30s as he said with friendly smile
He pointed to a young woman with shoulder-length brown hair. She is in her mid-20s, her face is beautiful and her smile is charming. She looked very confident.
"Director-nim, nice to see you again. Nice to meet you, Miss Assistant Director", said the members while bowing
We also bow to each other. Who are they? Are they a film crew?, I thought. I do know that BTS always recorded their daily activities to share with ARMY.
But it looks like these people look very professional, different from the crew who are always walking around and taking pictures of the members.
Yoongi grabbed my hand that was still on his chest, and put it back to my side. He walked past me without even looking at me.
"Annyeong, nice to meet you. I am Min Suga, I hope we can work together well," said Yoongi, smiling kindly at the new assistant director as he reached out his hand
"Omo! Suga ssi, annyeong, I am so happy to meet you. I am your fan. I hope we can work together well", she replied with a charming smile as she shook Yoongi's hand
Yoongi and the assistant director continued talking while the other's continued to their previous activities.
I didn't know what to do, so I just stood there watching them while waiting for him to finish chatting.
"Looks like the lady is waiting for you, Suga ssi?", Asked Park Soyun when she saw me standing staring at them.
"Gwaencana, I've finished doing the fitting. The intern is just waiting for me to return this outfit", replied Yoongi indifferently
Huh?? What?? He's really annoying, even more annoying than usual, I thought, clenching my fists.
"Okay, I'll get ready first. Maybe we can chat again later?", Said the assistant director, smiling and biting her lower lip
"Of course. I think we should drink together later", replied Yoongi smiling back without taking his gaze from the woman
I snorted seeing what they were doing, oh my god, are they flirting with each other right now ?, I thought in disbelief.
"She's beautiful, right?", Asked Yoongi when he walked over to me
"Who? Assistant director earlier ?? Ye ... she's beautiful", I replied nodding my head
"Wae?", I asked him as he kept looking at me curiously
"Ani. Is there any other clothes that I should try?", He asked again
"Umm yes. There is a suit for your solo performance", I said while showing the red suit
"Hurry up then", he said, unbuttoning his shirt one by one
I helped him put on the red suit in a hurry because they were scheduled to start the rehearsal in 10 minutes.
After finishing the fitting, our team made a few changes to the clothes that needed to be adjusted. Then we returned to the hotel to rest and returned to the Nagoya Dome in the afternoon.
At 5 pm, the entire team has ready in their positions. The situation around the Nagoya Dome is getting more and more crowded. I can feel it in the atmosphere around me, feeling more excited and boisterous.
At 6pm the stylist team started preparing the members for their show. And at half past 8, all the members and the dancers are ready and looking perfect. They look very excited and can't wait to start the concert and meet ARMY.
Yoongi looked completely different now, his aura made him looks like a star. I felt that he is not the childish Yoongi I often see at home. He seemed so far away and difficult to reach.
At exactly 8 pm, the concert started, they performed Idol as the opening song. Every 2 or 3 songs, they will come to back backstage to change clothes. At these times, our teamwork is at stake.
Me and my team helped them take off and put on their clothes, shoes and accessories. Wiping their sweat, giving them ice packs, fanning, and making the members comfortable.
During the two and a half hours of the show, we are always standby on backstage. Make sure their looks are perfect before going on stage. Not to forget, we also said encouraging words for them.
Until finally when the concert ended, I could just breathe a sigh of relief. My energy seemed to be drained away.
We applaud and thank them for the hard work of the members and all staff. Tapping each other's shoulders and hugging to congratulate each other.
It is true, working as a stylist for an artist was giving me an extraordinary experience. And this is just the first concert, there are still many concerts waiting for me in the following days.
