บท 10: Chapter 10 *Raelin
Xavier stopped his car in the middle of the woods, he steps out of the car, and I got out.
"Why are we doing here?" I asked confused to why we are here.
"You said you wanted to ride my wolf. Why not today?"
"Really?" I squealed in excitement as he laughed.
"Wait here."
He walked behind a tree, and I heard cracks, and a large jet-black wolf came out behind the tree. He slowly came towards me, and I reached out petting him.
"You're so beautiful Xavier, and your fur it's so soft."
"I'm glad you like us." Someone says in my head.
"Is that you?" I asked.
"Yes beautiful, now hop on."
He lowers himself down and I climb onto him. Once I had a grip of his soft black fur he takes off and run through the forest. I laughed and threw my arm to the side.
"It’s been a long time." I say to myself.
"Faster Xavier Faster." I encouraged him.
"Are you sure?" He mind links worry laced through his voice.
"Positive."
He then speeds up and jumped over logs and avoided fallen trees. He runs for what seems like hours, but I enjoy every moment of it. Soon enough he slowed down and I let out a small gasp as I stare at the beautiful sight.
"Oh wow. It’s beautiful how come I didn't notice this place during my runs?"
In front of me was there is a wooden bridge so we can cross the other side of the forest. Clear water runs on the bottom of the bridge.
I quickly slide off him and run at the middle of the bridge.
"Wow!" I said as I saw the clear water splashed down.
"I'm glad you like it." Xavier says as sparks erupted to my body when he snakes his arms around my waist.
"I don't like it, I love it, Xavier."
"I'm glad." He says while sniffing into my neck.
"So does your wolf has a name?" I asked.
"Yes, and he's name is Danger." He says.
"I love his name. Danger...Hmm.... Can I speak to him?"
"I would love to, but not today he's a little angry about himself when he lost control and gets you mark without your consent."
"Well, he better stop it because truth I kind of like it when he did that." I tell him honestly.
"So, you like it when I loss control?" He says but his voice is a little rough.
I turned around backing up a little. And instead of meeting Xavier's brown eyes I was met with golden eyes of his wolf, Danger's eyes. Seeing him wearing nothing but a basketball shorts. I bite my bottom lip as I looked at him. He's so gorgeous. His body was muscular and his perfect. Chiseled abs, broad shoulders, and those hot v lines stood out against his body. And I can't help but lick my lips as I saw his basketball shorts that is now tenting. I looked at his eyes which is clouded with want and lust.
We started to lean into each other but before we were about to kiss, we heard a loud snap of a dried stick breaking in two. I looked at the trees on the other side and rouges emerged.
"What are you doing trespassing my land?" Xavier growled in his Alpha tone when he took control back.
We took a step back getting away from the bridge. One rouge lunged at us, and Xavier pushed me to the side as he grabbed the rouge around his neck. He growled and tightened his grip making the rouge whimper. And Xavier threw him across the forest. More rouges came towards us, ten of them run towards Xavier as the other three run towards me. Xavier tried to run to me, but the rouges had surrounded him.
"Raelin, climb one of the trees, my warriors will be here." He says laced with worried voice.
"And leave you with these mutts no can-do mister."
"Raelin please." He mind links pleadingly.
"Did you forget that I can also fight these rouges."
"Just be careful Rae, I won't forgive myself if something happens to you."
"Nothing will happen to me. I promise you that. Now concentrate on fighting those rouges. They ruined our date."
"I like it when you’re mad."
A rouge leaps at me and I pulled out my blade that is strap into my back. I push my blade deep into its stomach. The wolf fell to the ground with a thud. And the rouge shifted back into his human form that is now laying lifeless on the ground.
"Why do you have a blade strap in your back?" He asks as I saw him pushed one of the rouges.
"For protection. Now get out of my head."
I heard howls through the air signaling Xavier's pack that they're coming. The two rouges leap at me and I run towards them as they are in the air, I duck under them. I sliced one of the wolf throats and the wolf became limp and lifeless on top of me as I pushed it off and rolled my feet.
By then Xavier's pack members came out into the trees and two of them tackled the rouge that is in front of me while the others help my mate. I looked at Xavier's direction, but two huge balls of fire are aiming towards my direction and I had no time to dodge them.
"Ahhhhh!" I screamed when I felt the fire go through all over my legs, arms, and chest.
"REALIN!!!!" Xavier shouts as I saw him running towards me.
But before he can reach me someone grab me and with a blink I was now at the medical room at our underground basement. I scream in pain when Faerien touches my wounds.
"Give me the bottle we don't have much time." She says worriedly to the twins.
And I scream so loud that I saw the twins had to cover their ears when Faerien poured the blue liquid into my whole body. I kept on screaming as I felt the pain, but I know it must be done.
"Stay awake Raelin. Just stay awake." The twin says while they start to clean my wounds.
I felt so much pain that I can’t blocked the mating bond, so my mate won’t feel my pain, the burning sensation still doesn't stop. After a few minutes the burning finally stops and the pain I felt doesn't hurt anymore. And I feel my body shuts down and I slowly slipped into the darkness.
