Kana did not even need to think as she wrapped her arms around Kori and jumped to the side. The beam of light swept past the spot she was just in, taking out another section of the mountain. "Ahhh!" Pain surged through Kana's leg. She was not quick enough. The speed of the attack was too fast, and now….

"Oh? Dodge that? Not fully, it seems." The strange man licked his lips as he looked at the Kana's left leg. Half of it was gone, and blood spilled to the ground. He took a deep breath, and a strange grin appeared on his face. "It has been a long time since I smelled such delicious blood. I changed my mind. Instead of killing you, I will just shove some tubes in your veins and slowly drain your blood. Don't worry I will keep you alive by injecting you with the nutrients your body needs. It would be a shame for you to die when your body can keep pumping out such delightfully scented blood."
