Charlus was talking with Sirius till the time he had to get into the portkey formation. When the reminder for the portkey sounded through the department, all the students including Charlus left their parents and went towards the portkey formation. When the clock ticked 11, they all vanished.

Charlus got out of the room that he had porkeyed into and rushed outside along with the flow. After he got out of the room, he first started searching for his friends. He was one of the first persons to get out of the room, so he was confident that he wouldn't miss anyone.
The first person he spotted was Henri. The moment he saw Henri, he waved his hand.
"Henri! Here!"
Henri saw Charlus and walked towards him. When he reached him, they started talking.
"Should we wait here for the others?"
Henri asked Charlus.
"Let's wait till this round is over. If we don't find anyone, we can go to our dorms. Since we're fourth years, we're going to get new dorms!"
Henri shared Charlus' excitement.
"Yeah! It would be great if those two were also there because then we could just move in all together and then sort out who gets which bed."
Charlus corrected Henri.
"We might not all be in the same room. Remember our first year? We didn't choose our roommates. That might happen this year too."
Henri shrugged Charlus off.
"No. Fourth years are just assigned a certain number of rooms. We are allowed to change our dorm room if we want at the start of each year. We just need to go on and pick a room for ourselves. It's nice that we are early. We'll get to book a room for ourselves. Everyone else usually come to the academy day after tomorrow since classes start on 5th September."
Charlus was excited when he heard the new piece of information. He started hoping that he would meet all his friends so that they could go quickly and get a room before all of the rooms were taken.
However, both Lucas and Lucifer weren't in the same batch as Charlus. they were probably going to come later. Charlus sighed and went to the new dorms with Henri.
The new dorms were right beside the dorms of the first to third years. They were 4 stories tall and took twice the space that the other building took. They went in and immediately noticed a difference. In their previous dorm, the ground floor had a few rooms, but this dorm allocated the entire ground floor of the dorm to management.
They went to the main office. There was a wooden desk with a stack of papers on the right end. Behind the desk, a young woman in her 20s was dictating information to a magical quill.
"Do you need something?"
"We're fourth years. We just came to the dorm and I think we have to get to choose our rooms."
"Yes, that is true. Since you are early, you have a lot of options. Just 3 rooms have people. The other 5 rooms are free."
Charlus was relieved.
"How many people for each room?"
"4 people."
"Can we reserve an entire room?"
The woman didn't respond for a second. Then she asked Charlus a question.
"An entire room? You can't have a room to yourselves. There must be a minimum of 3 students in each room."
"I wanted to reserve the room because two of my friends will stay with both of us. If you want, we can have it under the condition that the room will be filled. If it isn't, you can assign whomever you want."
The reception was struggling to make a decision.
"Well, I'm new here and I don't know if I can make decisions like that."
"Please?"
Looking at the two kids in front of her pleading for the room, she couldn't do anything but agree.
"Room no. 402 on the fourth floor. I'll register your student ids to the room once you bring at least another of your friends. You have to make sure that all people who are staying in the dorm need to register themselves here, so tell that to your friends once they come. I will temporarily mark the room as full."
Charlus and Henri smiled widely at her and took the key from her. She smiled back and continued with her work. The two went outside and took the luggage from the luggage section. Since they hadn't been allocated a room yet, the luggage had to be collected from the luggage counter. One good thing was that the luggage would be charmed to become lighter. It helped a lot in Charlus and Henri's case since they had to climb four floors.
Once they got to their rooms, they were panting. While the luggage was lighter than before, it was still slightly heavy. It was difficult for them to climb four flights of stairs with it.
Once they got into their room, they noticed the difference between the room they had before and their current room. The previous room made the students feel like they were back at home. Here, the room was just the same as the room they had before. There were two bunk beds to a corner. There was a table stand that was built just like a bunk bed, with one level for the bottom bunk, and the other for the top bunk.
Charlus rummaged through his bags and came out with a rolled poster. He went to the back of the door and plastered the poster onto the door. Henri looked at the poster and was shocked.
"I thought you didn't like her."
The person in the poster was the face of Madame Abadie.
"I don't. Here."
Charlus handed Henri some objects.
"What are the-"
He looked at Charlus with a newfound respect as Charlus threw one of the darts past him right at the nose of Madame Abadie.
