We returned home after the conversation we had had with Mr. Lodge and his offer for me to join, in a more intimate way, what would become his family business. Although I could take it as an option since when I arrived in the United States I would have basically nothing, it would only depend on what the publisher would arrange for me and what I would get to earn for the launching of the novel, and that being a new author could not be much, at least in principle, I should not completely rule out the possibility of doing the same thing I already do here in the other country.

We entered the house once we arrived with all the grocery bags we had carried throughout our tour, that guy was kind enough to bring us with his driver, so we didn't have to deal with waiting for a cab to pick us up from where we were.
