Brendan raced across the solar system at speeds that he had only dreamed a few Reps ago. The ship was bigger than the little racer he had crafted with Adrian.

He firmly muffled the whisper at the back of his mind that measured Adrian as a potential future enemy, and focused on the readouts in front of him. The computer in this ship was bigger than that one had been too. 

The system that ran on it had been inspired by Brennant's work with Sys20si's original copy, and developed by one of Adrian's children. The whisper at the back of his mind spoke to him again with the urge to learn Dafina's craft.
