Rafaela requested a direct call with the Security ship that was following her, and was answered after only a short delay.

"Princess Cinderella," the security officer began stiffly.

"Rafaela Donatella," Rafaela corrected immediately. Brendan's warning about someone else using her race registration made her want to clarify her identity.

The woman blinked and then objected, "I merely addressed you formally, using your Eks Corp title."

"Why are you following me?" Rafaela asked rather sharply.

"I've been ordered to guard you," the woman replied promptly.

"By who? Because it wasn't Brendan," Rafaela demanded.
