บท 11: Ch10. Altars
*around a month later*
During what felt like a month I have been traveling ,surviving and more.
I have become much bigger in this time , I'm now as large as a horse.
This last month was filled with a lot of close shaves while looking for an altar.
Now it's not what it sounds like and to understand I would have to explain a bit more about the world.
Altars are connections between different worlds.
People would try to call upon demons for whatever reason and for some special instances they weren't called upon.
Now when someone calls for demons the altars will show what their paying in some way such as smell , hearing the summoner and more;
If you accept you will be teleported to the summoner , you can then make a contract with the being.
So you are already payed to go there and then you can make a contract with him if you want.
Now your contractor is most of the time your connection to this world.
Most of the time once your contract is finished,failed or he dies you are sent back.
Altars can grow through being fed souls and accomplishing contracts.
Once they reach a certain size they can then send a certain number of demons to the next level.
The first level is multiple unconnected demonic worlds .
The second worlds are multiple worlds that are connected with a certain level of society a bit every where.
I do know they're are at least 3 more levels but I don't know about what.
So the altars are important plus if you grow an altar you gain ownership over it , making you able to tax it.
(It is possible to lose it though)
Now that I'm done explaining let's get back to what I found , On a mountain there was a big tribe of yetis living in a cave.
This was unnatural since they don't stay in such big tribes.
So I took a couple days investigating In hiding, and voila I found an altar.
My prey of this past month.
So now after preparing for my hunt and in a situation where keeping people hanging would be the worst ,
I start.
