Qaasim broke into a run the moment he killed the guards. It was easy when they were unsuspecting. Had the werewolves been on their guard, it would have been impossible to get away from them.

He did not stop until he found a small tunnel behind the portrait that he had dug up. It was not something he did entirely, but something he found and made use of. 

The tunnel ended up into the forest, deep inside slightly So that when he used the portal, no one would be able to hear or see him. 

The portal could be loud and messy, hell if anyone distracted it he might reach a world or known to any man.

For a moment, he slowed down and made sure that no one was coming towards him before he used the portal and teleported into a different realm, the Himalayas to be exact. 

The Himalayas were in an extremely cold place that thankfully did not get to him given his vampire blood.
