บท 57: How to Become Smarter

Thud!

Shao Chen jolted out from reverie by the sound of something heavy was placed on the stone table. He lifted his head, caught Chen Liqin stood besides the table.

"Thief Emperor?" Shao Chen mumbled in confusion. He thought Chen Liqin had left him here and won't come back.

Chen Liqin's eyes twitched when he heard the calling but he did not protest. Without saying anything, he rolled his long sleeve up then tied them while sitting beside Shao Chen.

"Ouch!" Shao Chen complained when Chen Liqin moved his right leg.

Chen Liqin carefully lifted the leg up then placed it on top of his thigh. "Bear with it for a while, okay? It will be a bit hurt," he said as he slowly took off Shao Chen's shoes.

Even this small action was almost unbearable for Shao Chen. "What are you doing?! It hurts!!" The almost dried eyes beginning to shed tears again. He stretched his hand to stop Chen Liqin but this movement only made the pain became more intense.
