Snapping out of his trance, Carl knew he had to step up and help his brother, before Angelo did anything that they would all regret later.

Angelo looked lost and desperate. He looked like he would exchange his own life for Hera's .he looked like the world had suddenly gone from bright to dark. The mad king had lost it all.

"Check if she's breathing brother," Carl said when he realized that Angelo had already begun thinking that his mate was dead. Hera was a fighter, and there was just no way a mere scratch by the moonchild would harm her unless it was poisoned.

The smell of Hera's blood wasn't making any of them focus properly. It was sweet, but the kind of sweet that told anyone and everyone that she was taken and belongs to the mad king

"Give me your coat and the stone behind you. We can put her head there. This shit is not comfortable one bit" Angelo growled out.
