Zayn and Angelo seemed to be in a staring contest after Angelo's question, with neither of them willing to yield to the force that was between them.

It could have been awkward, but something about Angelo's tone reassured Zayn that the alpha king didn't want war. He was tempted to think that Angelo cared for him, but that was just his wishful thinking. 

"What caves?" Zayn asked Angelo carefully. When the fuck had he talked about the hidden caves, dammit. His mouth couldn't stay shut when he really needed to. What was he supposed to tell Angelo now anyway?

"Medina, Medina, Medina. We don't want to play that game, brother. Now, I'll ask again, where is our brother?" Angelo asked, but Zayn was too cooped up on Angelo, calling him brother and even referring to carl as their brother.

Did that mean the big bad alpha king had accepted him as his brother?
