"I think I found something, though I'm not entirely sure it will work. It could backfire though, but we can just try, no?" one of the warlocks said and all attention turned to him. If he had found something, they were ready to listen.

They were ready to do anything as long as Carl did not reach the point where they would have to kill him. Nothing that had happened so far made any sense, but if this was their way to get everything back on track, then they would.

It was literally a matter of life and death and they were the only people with a better understanding of this shit. But were they? Well, they may have been unable to understand what was happening, but only they were strong enough to hold their own when shit came down on them.
