With her trapped between him and the wall, Hera closed her eyes and bit her lips in, careful not to let the alpha do anything that they would regret.

Their bodies were already touching and Angelo's hand went into her hair, fisting it in the process and Hera was slowly losing control.

Leaning close to her ear, he whispered, "there was something in your hair, but I've gotten it out already. Now let's talk about what agreement you made with Gonzalez my little mate."

At the mention of the vampire king, Hera paused Angelo away so roughly and evidently, the trance she was once in was no longer there.

She had to play it cool.

She didn't know any Gonzalez.

That was the pact.

She had to remind herself about it this time.
