Nishai said to Angelo and Carl who were experiencing a whole lot of emotions all at once. She sacrificed herself, her true nature, she did it so she could deal with her demons, the very things that made her feel cursed. 

She did I for a race that was probably condemning her for taking away their rights and hopes to meet their loved ones. she did it for them, not for her.

she was the luna, a true luna.

Angelo didn't know what to say and honestly, Nishai didn't know what to expect either. She didn't know what the alpha and his beta would do, she didn't know whether Juno would even let them do anything.
