They agreed that the king and some of his confidants should now proceed to sail towards the capital. Serenica had to go, as she was responsible for Spade's wellbeing. She wanted the Dreamer to come, and indeed, there was little use in having a man without functioning legs go to war. It was better if the king-captain had royalty with him in the capital to back him up.

Serenica asked if the prince had a safe way of relying messages through dreams. They had all been sleeping with such big pieces of obsidian under their pillows that they could hardly even relax their necks properly.
