บท 144: Disguises

"WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!"

The roar of the archer echoed through the edge of the jungle before the man could even be seen.

Spade and Serenica both raised their pistols, but Nayk was faster, he shot the archer in the belly, causing him to fall on his face, too shocked to even scream.

The men of the village came, yelling and waving their arms.

"No - can't you see?!"

"They have manipulated you!"

Some of them took weapons, such as wooden spears, and hurled them at the pirates and the artists, but they were no match against the flintlock pistols. Serenica counted six men shot at sight, and only one wounded poet who was a bit too slow and took a hit from a spear into his thigh.

She would have otherwise started to take care of him immediately, but she had to be quick to catch the only enemy with a firearm. Her aim was good and clean, and she shot him in the head, and then he didn't have a face anymore.
