บท 94: Newfound Authority

No dream could go on forever. Serenica woke up with only a moderate hangover. The first mate had already left the room.

She had some spare time as she didn't feel like drinking all day, unlike her crew. She went to see if her old apartment had survived the fire. Thankfully, the walls had only received a moderate licking from the flames. She let a word out that she was still healing. She didn't know what else to do with her hands.

Former patients found her soon enough. It did warm her heart a little to hear how severely she'd been missed and how cheap she was compared to the charlatans Kinley had hired. This town was a reckless mistress, though, and Serenica had no illusions about it. They would all forget her the moment the anchor kissed goodbye to the bottom of Oathbreaker's Cove.
