She turned her attention back towards Kinley. The witch seemed to recover abnormally fast from the poisoning. Serenica could see that the pendant was now hanging on her chest, having fallen out from the constraints of the dress.

"You wench!" Kinley screamed and jumped to reach for the knife in Serenica's hand.

Serenica dodged her and drove the blade into the woman's chest.

A shock, a look of absolute horror came upon Kinley's face. Blood spurted out of her mouth.
