บท 8: Frostfire Gauntlet

"Soo.. Grandma, is it safe? I mean, I can control them, but in your opinion? is it safe for me to summon them physically?"
Grandma looked at me thoughtfully then said "It's alright, but you need to tell us the capabilities and the personalities of the one you are summoning to make sure it will not destroy anything you don't want to destroy" She said while standing up and walking to the kitchen.
"Now Catherine, help me cook for lunch. I guess the kids are hungry after that long drive" Grandma said.
"Ok kids, you can whatever you want. But no destroying things" Mom said while following grandma in the kitchen.
"BROTHER! Brother! do you have anything that can summon???" My oh so hyper sister asked while looking at me expectantly. My dad looked at me too.
"Let's go to the garden, I'll show you." I said while standing up.
"MOOOM! WE'RE JUST GOING TO TRY SOMETHING IN THE GARDEEN!" Ivy shouted while running to the garden first.
Dad just shakes his head the told me "Let's go, let me see what you can do" he looked at me then turns to the garden and started walking.
I followed them to the back. I guess I'll try that.

"C'mon brother, show it, show it noooow!!" Ivy said while jumping up and down excitedly.
"Go on Ivan" Dad said while crossing his arms
'What will be dad's reaction if he saw this heheh.'
"Ok here comes." I said while clenching my fists.
'System, equip the Frosfire Gauntlets!'
[Equiping the Frostfire Gauntlets]
[Beep]
As the beep sounded and Icy blue swirls are starting to cover my fists while a reddish orange aura is circulationg around it.
After a few second, the blue swirls became a gaunlet made of ice, what's surprising is, that I don't feel cold at all, it just feels like a normal gloves but more tough. Around the knucles were spikes that are about an inch long, and around the gaunlet is a flaming aura. (Image at the comment)
My father looked at the gauntletwith interest as I'm kinda sure that he can feel the cold and heat emanating from the gauntlet.
"Woaaahhh, that's cooler than that garen guy."Ivy said while trying to touch the gauntlets, but failed miserably as before she even came close, the fiery aura is already blocking her way.
"That's Ice and Fire right? Is it enchanted by magic?" Asked Ivy while pulling her hands away, albeit reluctantly.
"Yep, it's called Frostfire Gauntlet. Forged by someone from freljord and can be wielded by an Iceborne, or any other champions of runeterra, I don't know the reason, but they just can. And that's also the readon why I can also wield it, because I'm regarded by yhe realm of runeterra as a summoner." I said while opening and closing my fists wearing the gauntlets.
"So what is this summoner that you're talking about?, we didn't see it." Asked a female voice.
We turned to the door and see grandma and mom coming from the door.
"Ummm. It was once a council of otherworlders and rulers, who can command the champions of runeterra to fight each other to resolve any conflict that can implicate the whole runeterra and/or the universe itself" I said, good think I've seen a lot of theory for what is the use of summoner's rift.
"So you are one of them? Those summoners?" Grandma asked while he looks like thinking.
"Yep, technically, I'm the last Summoner as the Institute of war was abandoned because of the runeterra's delicate balance." I said as I put my thinking expresqasion.
Apparently, they are much more interested in the Frostfire Gauntlet than history lesson that they just watched earlier.
"Ok, I'll show you guys something. I think it will be awesome." I said while communicating with the system.
'Hey system, how can I use the effect of the items?'
[Just use it normally, Summoner]
'THAT'S WHAT I'M ASKING!, how do I use it normally?? By the way, is the effect the same as with the game?'
[Yes Summoner. When you attack, you will form a 3 meter radius of frost field that will slow down everyone around you and when the frost field stacked into a same area five times, it will root everyone around you except for the Champions, and when you defend and/or attacked you will send a pulse of heat wave with the same area as the frost field]
'Now that's what I can understand. So it doesn't differentiate friends and foes huh?'
"Dad, you can resist extreme temperatures right??" I asked dad while smiling slightly
He looked at me like I'n asking the obvious, which I am actually, then answered.
"Yes, yes I can. Why? Do you want me to be your test subject?" He smirked while walking close to me.
"Well, I can finally have my revenge against you after all that beating I experienced when I was a kid" I said with a smirk too
"Oh? You're approaching me?. And to be clear, I beat you up because you're so goddamn naughty." My dad said while his smirk widens even more, I didn't know that's even possible.
"I can't beat you up too if I didn't come closer tho, so dad, let's do this" I said while launching myself to him, aiming a punch to his chest.
He dodged sideways then tried to hit my stomach with his knee, but I stopped it with my gauntlet-covered hands, then the heat wave proc and caused dad to be pushed backwards for a few steps.
"That's a nifty trick huh, and this ice field, if I didn't increase the heat in my body, it will surely slow me down too much for my comfort" he said while smiling.
I looked around and saw mom nodding her head with a little smile on her face, while Ivy on the other hand, was shivering because of the effects of the frostfire gauntlets.
"Release" I said, then the frost field around started to melt and turn into water.
"Now, Albert, Ivan and Ivy." Grandma called us, I think she's angry? Because we froze her plants?? No more cookies?
"Go wash your hands and go to the kitchen, the foods are ready." She said while a small smile started forming on her grandma face.
"YESS!!" Me and Ivy yelled at the same time, then we run to the kichen to wash our hands and eat.
(Pardon my absence yesterday, some important personal matters popped up. But, No need to fear! Because I am here! And delivering a chapter for you guys.
And that's my first time writing a fight scene, tell me some tips to improve heheh.
And yeah, I edited the Frostfire Gauntlets' effect a bit to suite 'real life' more.
