บท 48: In Need of Help

There was something magically present that made me vivacious after only talking to her for a short while. My spirit would always shift into that higher level that the difference was remarkably noticeable. I had learned to accept the lack of companionship as my deficiency and having someone to talk that pleased me was comforting and invigorating. What I was experiencing inside must stay inconspicuous from being noticed by her. I had a second purpose talking to her.

“I’ll listen to your melodrama but I don’t want you crying on me.” There was a stern and dire admonition noticeable on my voice as I said it.

“I’m not a crying type,” she answered

“I already know what your problem is,” I said. “It’s about money.”

“Yes, it’s about money but it’s not all about it,” she said.

“Tell me about the woman who was transferred here?” I said, changing the subject abruptly. I started with an early offense. If my new tactic works I might get the earnest answers.
