Be it a walk around the corner, work or home, David never fails to accompany her. He had set his mind on sticking onto her no matter how much she pushed him away but he knew better, that the walls around her were slowly crumbling down and making a place for him. He had never been this excited, never been this protective and never been this interested in someone. It was a totally new experience and a new feeling for him. The feeling which can't be compared with the time he was with Katherine. He didn't know himself that why he was feeling this way towards a woman who was certainly not eye-catchy, had a big mouth, knows how to bicker, is hasty and what not haughty.
But he liked every part of her that made her like the way she is. He couldn't just put his nose outside her business even when he tried not to. He wondered how a girl like her can impact on him so much. When he compared Katherine and Sabrina they were like two different worlds. If Katherine was a flower, she was the sun, if Katherine was a star, she was the sky, If Katherine was a flame, she was the lava. She wasn't anything to belittle but everything to brag about.
Katherine and he might have been in a long relationship but didn't share the charm that he feels being together with Sabrina in just a few days. It doesn't matter if they met a day or an hour ago, he swore to himself that he'd do anything to keep alive that charm between them.
And soon came the day when David was taking Sabrina to his most favorite place.
David walks up to the stairs and reaches the third floor of the apartment building, he rings the bell of the fourth apartment on the corridor. Sabrina's mother, Doris opens the door almost immediately. David backs away a little with a jerk, his smile falls but instantly he overcomes.
"H-Hi Mrs. Jackson it's good to see you." Doris immediately comes outside the apartment and shuts the door behind, she pulls David with him and stands in a corner before observing that no one was watching them. She looks at him while he was giving her a confused smile.
"Where are you taking my daughter?"
"I Mrs. Jackson... I-"
"I can't let you get involved with my daughter! Get your head straight before I do it for you!"
"You don't understand Mrs. Jackson, I am not playing with her."
"Then what!? Do you take me for a fool?! A person like you can only play with us!" Doris whisper-shouts at David and he listens to her with his head bowed.
"I apologize Mrs. Jackson but believe me, my intentions are pure. I wouldn't let you down trust me on this." He says, facing her. "Not to you who have been so loyal to me since my childhood."
"It's not just about you David. You have to understand the situation first."
"I know you are referring to my family but this is the first time I have ever done something for myself, please encourage me."
"You can't do it and you know that David but even if you do I won't let you pull my daughter into that mess. Stop escorting my daughter, I don't want to become the bad guy in Sabrina's eyes, she's too naive to understand such crucial things right now but I am not going to remain quiet if this keeps going for long so you have to end this, it's for the best."
"Mrs. Jackson I'm promising you that our circumstances-"
"Oh boy, ha-ha! Come again sometime and tell your mom I said hi." Doris face suddenly changes and it was a fake smile she displayed David. He got confused but his confusion soon cleared when Sabrina came next to Doris. Doris holds her daughter's hand and presses it reassuringly. "Bring my daughter before six," Doris says, focusing back on David and he nods like a loyal dog.
"Is everything all right?" Sabrina asks, facing her mother and Doris smiles while nodding at her words.
"Just be careful, okay?" Sabrina smiles back in response.
David and Sabrina came down and out of the apartment building together but David couldn't forget the glare Doris passed him when he was leaving with Sabrina. It clearly emphasized that she wasn't very happy with him but he can't just let her go because of the people around him after all he hadn't felt this way for anyone before.
