บท 4: Chapter 4: First Blood!

Ardiel was still observing the now bitten Mikelo. Ardiel hoped that Mikelo will exhaust himself flailing inside the mouth of the Camulf.

"Help me!!! Ardiel!!!" Mikelo shouted hysterically but no one responded.

'Did he betray me!?' Mikelo thought to himself like a dumbass.

"Ardiel!!! I'll give you anything you want!!! Just save me from this beast!!!" Mikelo shouted while thinking that his 'friend' will be tempted to accept his offer and help him.

'Hmmm... " Ardiel was watching the show in front of him. When he noticed that Mikelo is now weak and exhausted from flailing aimlessly, Ardiel showed himself and started to walk towards the backside of the beast.

' Yes! He's tempted by the offer! Just you wait you little shxt! When I get out of this mouth, I will kill you!' Mikelo then smiled inwardly, not showing his thoughts outside. "Nice job, Ardiel. Help me and I will give you everything you want. My father is a politician," Mikelo said to try to fool Ardiel.

' Is his brain the size of a goldfish? Did he think that I was tempted by his dumb offer? What a dude,' Ardiel thought as he looked towards Mikelo's face full of hope and smiles.

Ardiel was now climbing the back of the Camulf, the Camulf was still biting Mikelo, ignoring Ardiel on his back. The Camulf maybe thought that he will bring one down to him to not hurt its pride to be beaten by these lowly creatures.

Ardiel was now on top of the Camulf's head. Ardiel positioned himself near the neck of the Camulf to slice it in one fell swoop. Ardiel lifted his rusty longsword and used all his strength to brought it down towards the neck of the Camulf.

A sound like something heavy fell to the ground was made when the Camulf's head with Mikelo in it's mouth fell in the ground. Mikelo crawled out of the Camulf's mouth bloody. Mikelo first checked his other leg to see if it's still usable. He tried to stand up but the pain on his other leg brought him down. He saw Ardiel approaching him wielding a bloody longsword. Mikelo smiled towards Ardiel and asked, "Do you have any healing potions or something that can cure my leg?"

Ardiel still continued to walk towards Mikelo, making Mikelo scared.

"Wo-woah! Is everything o-okay Ardiel? You're scaring me right now!" Mikelo said while crawling backwards, hoping to get his fallen sword in the ground near him.

Ardiel didn't mind Mikelo picking the sword because it didn't matter to him. He let Mikelo picked the sword and then he stopped his tracks, making Mikelo thought that Ardiel was afraid of him.

"Don't come near me, you bitxh! Come near me and I'll hac-" Mikelo didn't even finish his sentence when his blood spurted from his neck, enveloping Ardiel who was now in front of him. Mikelo tried to speak but only grunts came out of his mouth. Mikelo's bloody corpse was now laying the ground, his head almost separated from his body. Ardiel licked the blood that was in his face and grinned.

'What a dull sword,' Ardiel thought when he saw that his slash didn't decapitate the head of Mikelo. Ardiel started to take Mikelo's equipment, replacing his now bloody clothes. Ardiel wiped all the blood from his body and then he observed his new equipment and smiled, satisfied that he killed that stupid Mikelo. Ardiel was now gonna walk towards his original destination when a ball of light started to materialize in front of him, startling him.

'Damn, I'm still not used to this materializing thing.'

"Congratulations for killing the Camulf beast that you named and Mike Walls now Mikelo. You are the first person to kill a beast in Sgodameg and also the first person to kill your fellow human. What do you want for your reward?" Weisp said to Ardiel.

Ardiel was overjoyed when he heard that he can have a reward, ignoring the fact that he is the first person on this planet to kill a beast and his fellow human.

" How do demons get stronger? Do we just fight and kill some beasts and we get experience to make us level up or do we train like a normal human would do?"

"A demon can consume another demon's heart, making him absorb a random skill from the demon. Eating a demon's heart makes your demon constitution stronger while also absorbing some of the special qualities of the body of the eaten demon's heart. A demon can increase the number of his hearts as he promote his rank. Right now, you can't create a heart for yourself even if you consume a heart but I'll make an exception for you if that's your chosen reward. Is that what you want? Due to the exception, instead of two rewards, you will only be given one. Do you agree?

Ardiel didn't even think as he said, "Yes, i want a high-quality demon's heart. The demon must be a fast demon. If converted to game terms, the demon must be an agility type. Is that okay?"

"Of course, do you want me to explain the ranks of the demon according to their power?"

"Give me first the heart then you can explain the ranks."

Weisp opened a dimensional portal and used his light tentacles(?) to get something inside. After 10 minutes of rummaging inside the portal, a still beating purple heart with lightning dancing around it was now in front of Ardiel.

" This is the heart of Count Veltric, also known as the Lightning Dancer. He was from the planet of Vladu, where vampire-like people was living. He uses two daggers as his weapon."

"Why is it still beating though? Ardiel asked as he observed the beating heart, unable to get to a conclusion.

" It's still fresh because I just got it recently. Don't worry about it. I think that your limit as of now is Count but be careful on absorbing a count-rank heart. Be patient and don't rush things. When you reach the city, you can now access your game menu. Also, you can harvest the materials of that Camulf. You can sell it to the Guild's Association when you reach a city. That's all, farewell Ardiel," Weisp said as he waved his tentacles(?) goodbye while flickering out of existence leaving a teen with his mouth still open.

"What the fxck!?" Ardiel muttered as he was still flabbergasted at his situation.

"I guess I will find myself a shelter and eat this electric heart there," Ardiel muttered while he shoved the electric heart in his makeshift bag made of his bloody clothes.

When he was done storing the electric heart, Ardiel started to harvest the sellable materials of the Camulf. It took him almost an hour harvesting the Camulf's fur. Then Ardiel started plucking the Camulf's claws and eyes.

After Ardiel was done harvesting the sellable materials, he started to carve small pieces of meat from the Camulf. Ardiel was gonna consume it for emergency situations. He also stored the blood of Camulf after making sure that it was not poisonous and safe to drink. He stored it in his makeshift pouch made of Camulf fur.

Ardiel observed his items and equipments once more and smiled. 'This is a nice start.'

Ardiel has now an objective to complete: Find a shelter that he can use to absorb his reward which is the electric heart.

In the Celestial Realm

A God's kingdom was a castle if you only observe on the outside but in the inside, you can find the certain God's territory where his dead believers are living their afterlives.

Defiru's castle looked like a medieval castle made of black and purple bricks. Instead of vines, flames was in it's walls. It's main gate has a giant eye embedded on it, acting like a guard and password of some sort. You can clearly feel the fear and ruthlessness of a demon just by looking at Defiru's castle.

A God that looked like an average human but with purple dragon scales covering his whole body, a tail with a pointy end that is on fire, unfurled wings like that of a dragon and a handsome face with four horns sprouting above it was inside the kingdom. This was Defiru, the God of Demons.

Defiru was sitting in his throne made of different demon horns combined together. If you saw GOT, Defiru's throne is like that but except of swords, demon horns was there.

A portal was in front of Defiru, showing the image of Ardiel walking alone in the desolate desert. Defiru was tapping his throne's arm while his other hand was supporting his chin.

"Interesting," Defiru said as he continued to observe Ardiel on his throne.
