บท 3: Chapter 3: Camel-Wolf Beast

Ardiel kept walking towards the silhouette in the distance. When he is almost near the silhouette, he ripped his shirt sleeves and tied them together to make himself a mask of some sort, covering his face therefore hiding his new identity. Ardiel also discovered that he can hide both his horns and wings but he decided to only hide the wings because it is useless to him as of now.

As he neared the silhouette, the silhouette looked around his/her surroundings and finally saw Ardiel. The unknown person stopped walking and waved his/her hands towards the direction of Ardiel. The unknown person should be a man due to his body shape.

Ardiel raised his hands to respond to the unknown man's greetings and started walking towards him. When Ardiel is near enough to see the man's face, he first noticed the man's equipment.

The unknown man was wearing a leather armor, pants and boots. It was the standard equipment of an archer. But Ardiel didn't see any bow or arrow quiver on the man's body, signifying that the unknown man killed an arched and took his equipment or Weisp is the one who gave it to him, which is highly unlikely or he really got lucky when he teleported and some archer gear was lying on the ground right in front of him.

The man is an ordinary human with average looks and build. He has a rusty short sword hanging at his left waist and a small dagger at his right waist. Ardiel even thought that the man is a professional at this kind of games seeing the man's equipment even though they have been teleported here only recently.

Ardiel is now in conversation distance to the man. The unknown man started the conversation with an introduction, "Hello my friend, my name is Mike Walls on Earth and Mikelo here in Sgodameg. What's your name?" Mike asked Ardiel joyfully.

"Ardiel in both planets. Where did you find those equipment that you are wearing?"

"To be honest, I have been teleported inside a house near a forest here. The hunter was first confuses about my identity but he gave me his old armor as he has no use of it anymore. I'm really lucky aren't I? By the way, did you choose a demon for a race? You look cool! "

'What a blabbermouth. I'm kill you later so talk like there's no tomorrow,' Ardiel thought to himself.

" Demon sounds cool so i chose it. I chose a sword for my weapon. What's yours? "

" My weapon is also like yours, a sword but the hunter gave me his hunting knife to further increase my survivability . I'm a chef in Earth so I'm quiet proficient with knifes and other sharp objects," Mike said thoughtlessly thinking that those information about him is no big deal.

Ardiel nodded and thought,'This man is stupid as fxck. It's an easy kill for me if I sneak attack him.'

" Alright then, let's stop talking and start walking! I'm really excited to see this city that the hunter talkes about. I'm sure there are beautiful girls there," Mikelo said, smiling while imagining the scenery of this planet' s city.

'Think happy thoughts Mikelo as you are gonna be my first kill on this planet," Ardiel grinned inwardly and smiled outside to hide his bloodthirstiness.

The duo continued to walk for another 2 hours when they spotted a creature of some kind trudging the desolate lands alone. Mike Walls now Mikelo was ecstatic when he found a creature of this planet. The creature looked like the combination of a camel and a wolf. The creature has two humps on his back and looks like a wolf as big as a camel. Its fur was brown and the creature moved slowly. Mikelo's stomach grumbled, initiating a smile from him and Mikelo then said embarrassingly, "Looks like I'm hungry now, hahaha. I'm gonna hunt that creature or whatever, you in?"

Ardiel thought to himself that the creature would be a good training dummy for him to test out his newfound powers. Ardiel nodded towards Mikelo, making Mikelo stare at the creature.

" We can't keep calling it the creature, we need to give it a name. Wolmel for Wolf and Camel combined. Sounds good to you?

" I think Camulf is pretty decent compared to your Wolmel. Right?

"Of course, then Camulf it is. Let's hunt that Camulf to fill our empty stomachs!" Mikelo said while taking out his rusty short sword and iron dagger.

'You're the only one who is hungry,' Ardiel thought to himself as he also took his rusty long sword out of its sheath.

Mikelo then started walking quietly towards the Camulf, hoping he will get a surprise attack but the Camulf suddenly looked towards him, making him stop at his tracks. Ardiel still didn't move and kept observing while his hand with the longsword was trembling. Trembling with excitement.

"Did it see me or its just me that thinks that?" Mikelo asked Ardiel with a hint of fear in his voice.

"I think that it has excellent eyesight and sense of smell, that's why it noticed you," Ardiel said while still standing.

"Why are you still standing there? The Camulf is now approaching me! A little help please!?" Mikelo shouted while panicking as the Camulf slowly approached Mikelo with slow steps. This was Mikelo's first real life battle as he is just a normal white office worker at his home planet, that's why he is panicking and scared out of his wits right now.

Ardiel then moved on the direction where the Camulf can't see him so that he can launch a surprise attack when the Camulf decided to attack Mikelo. Ardiel crouched and moved quietly and slowly to not attract the attention of the Camulf. With the demon's excellent constitution, Ardiel is moving so quiet you can't even hear the sound of his footsteps. He continued to crouch to find a good sneak position.

Moments later...

Ardiel was now in position to launch a sneak attack but he decided to patiently wait for the right moment to attack, making Mikelo more scared.

"Trust me Mikelo, just fight with your life on the line and when you are in a dangerous situation, I will attack the Camulf. Just trust my words," Ardiel said while smiling on the outside but on the inside, he is grinning like a psycopath.

"O-okay, i trust you. I leave my back to you," Mikelo replied not knowing Ardiel's true intentions.

'Good. Exhaust the Camulf and yourself. It will be an easy double kill. Thank the Gods that you can revive at this game but also curse them because you met me,' Ardiel thought and chuckled inwardly.

"Come here bitxh! Let me taste the meat of a Camulf!" Mikelo said as he rushed to the Camulf like a berserker.

The Camulf howled towards Mikelo and also started running. 100 meters separated the two in fighting. 90 meters...80 meters...30 meters....

Sounds of flesh being sliced was made when Mikelo slashed the Camulf with his short sword while dodging to the right. Mikelo was panting but his eyes remains focused and energetic as if fatigue can't affect him. The Camulf's left thigh on the front of his leg was sliced open and green blood was flowing. The Camulf licked it's wound first and after that he attacked Mikelo again.

Mikelo was now a little calm thinking that 'everything that bleeds can die' but a loud howl capable of stunning a grown man was heard inside the forest where they teleported to. The Camulf was startled and stopped its charge as it looked towards the forest in the distance.

'Now's my chance! The beast is distracted!' Mikelo inwardly thought as he threw his knife, piercing the Camulf's left eye. The Camulf shrieked in pain as it jumped up and down to remove the knife embedded on its left eyeball. Mikelo use this opportunity to slash the Camulf's left thigh again, separating it from its body. The Camulf crashed to the ground with only three legs left.

Mikelo then looked arrogant as he thought that he can fight a creature of this caliber single-handedly. He approached the scared Camulf with wide steps thinking that the creature has no strength and will to fight left. But what happened next surprised Mikelo out of his wits.

The Camulf bit Mikelo's right leg with its bloody mouth, not letting Mikelo go. Mikelo was startled and he started to panic. No sane person wanted to die so it's normal to panic when you are already a foot inside death's door (metaphorically and literally).

Mikelo started shouting like a madman, attempting to get Ardiel to save him but no no no, he's way to trusting towards strangers and that trust will lead him to his demise.
