Kenma POV:
After I found the cafe that sold apple pie, I started going back to the store. It had taken longer than I thought it would to find the pie, but it would be fine because I sent kuroo a text.
I make my way slowly back to the game store, when I get there they are gone. Oh my god, are they dumb?!
back with the two dummies:
"What do mean you want us to leave?!" after half an hour of screaming like the world was ending, running in and out of shops, security had pulled them to the side.
"We have received several complaints about the noise, and a few parents have called in too," Aiko and Kuroo glance at each other, before cracking up. Kuroo forced a serious expression,
"Oops- I didn't know we were-- being that loud sir!" Aiko had managed to get out, in between snickers. "We have to get our stuff from the game store, then we will leave!" in all the panic the two had been in, they had forgotten their school things on the bench.
When they returned to the game store, the froze in their tracks at the sight of Kenma,
"You're not dead! WE WERE SO WORRIED!!!" Aiko tackled the poor setter in a hug. The force hit him so hard that they had both fell to the ground. Kuroo watched from a distance, smirking at the pink spreading on Kenmas face.
"ITS YOU TWO AGAIN! I THOUGHT I TOLD YOU TO GET OUT!" the security guard from before was running at then from down the hall,
"Time to run!" Kuroo picked up Kenma, and Aiko grabbed her bag. They started running out the large double doors, and Kuroo yelled back, "sorry sir!"
[Time skip, walking home]
"Are you two going to tell me why the security guard was chasing us?" Kenma was confused, but then again he knew that if they told him, it would probably be really stupid, "Never mind, I don't want to know."
"That's probably for the best," Kuroo snickered, "See you tomorrow Aiko!" Kuroo and Kenma lived a few blocks away. But it only took like 15 minutes to walk there, so they didn't mind walking her home.
"So, do you like her?" Kuroo teased, "I saw you blush earlier~" Kenma frowned at the ground.
"No... but I haven't really met many people like her," his gaze softened and he looked up at the cherry blossom trees, "she always seems so happy, but I feel like I'm only ever seeing this mask she puts on..." This startled Kuroo. Sure, he had sometimes wondered if she was just pretending to be happy. She had slipped up a few times, whether it was snapping at someone, or rolling her eyes, She always laughed it off-- or acted like it was a joke. But kenma never talked this much about anyone. Let alone, seemed to care.
They walked in silence for the rest of the way home. The scene was just out of some cliché movie, cherry blossom trees with their petals falling around them, and the sunset, coating the sky in shades of reds, orange, and purple. Even if they didn't say it they both knew,
this year would be interesting.
[AN: Hey, I know this is short, I just felt like this needed its own chapter!]
