Ashamed of how she verbalized her wanton needs and got shut down by the man she was sharing a bed with, she decided to let the matter slide and go back to sleep as if she did just had the most awkward conversation in her life.

"You know what? Forget what I just said." Stellar twisted and pulled the blanket with her. If she could wrap herself like a burrito, she would. After all that was said and done, getting off was now the least of her concerns, and the humiliating sound of her empty stomach was her top priority.

She heard the bed creak, and she frowned at the sudden loss of warmth when Holden stood up. Ignoring the shuffling behind her, she counted as many sheep as she could, hoping it would help her fall asleep.

Feeling the bed dip, she clutched on the blanket tighter, afraid that Holden would call her out for pretending to be asleep, but to her surprise, she heard a crinkling sound as if a wrapper was being torn.
