บท 45: The time has come!

"Hey Lynx!" Vivi jumps on me and hugs me tight.

"Hey Vivi! Man, I gotta say that I really miss you stuck to myself like a koala." I smirk at Vivi and hug her back.

Durin looks at us annoyed first but then makes a playful expression.

"Oh! Ye take yer woman so grandly, but what about your favorite dwarf? Let me join in, boy!" Durin charges up to jump at me with his full mythril armor.

Vivi becomes sand immediately and relocates from my front onto my back. I on the other hand catch Durin in the air and hold him there like a baby.

"... Well this didn't turn out like I wanted… Can ya put me down now?" Durin looks at me pleadingly since this looks disgraceful to him.

"Oh? But I have to play with my favorite dwarf, now don't I~?" I grin at him.

"Sar em gabura…" Durin curses in dwarvish, when he is tossed high in the air by me.

"So how are you Heph? Anything good happened to you?" I turn towards Heph as Durin is still making his way up after my throw.

"Gorach!" Durin calls me an idiot as he is slowly making his way towards the ceiling.

"I am well. Have been studying the seastone you provided from those ships and was able to find a way to make it more workable. And what have you been up to? This place kinda reminds me of heaven." Heph smiles slightly.

*Thock!*

Durin hits the ceiling clouds and bounces back towards the ground.

"Catch me ya bastaaaard!!!" Durin screams as he descends down to crash.

"One moment, Heph! Gumu gomu no balloon!" I inflate myself into a giant balloon while Vivi jumps off, so Durin lands and bounces harmlessly off of me to the ground.

Some widen their eyes and look at me.

"What? I wanted to have some fun in the battle and made Luffy also my summon. Damn that fight was fun~" I grin at the rest of the crew that didn't actually see me contract Luffy.

"YES! THAT WAS HELLA FUN! We even made a cursed weapon! Luffy-fy-fy-fy-fy!" Luffy says proudly and laughs in his pokemon phase.

"Uh? Is that boy alrighty in thee head? Why is he laughing using his name?" Durin picks himself up, dusts off some dirt and clouds before he stares at Luffy.

"That is a side effect from hubby's new game. Seems like Luffy liked that laugh and switched over. Hey Vivi!" Mikita walks over to explain before hugging Vivi.

"Hey Miki! Glad you are okay!" Vivi hugs Mikita back.

'Didn't think it would be possible in canon, but these two actually are like best friends now.' I smile.

"Well anyway! I'll start explaining, so gather up!" I clap my hand to gather their attention.

The recently summoned people all come closer to hear what is going on.

"Lynx, what about captain Hina?" Tashigi asks.

"Don't bother asking. He probably has her do something else." Smoker says.

"Ah right! I totally forgot!" I slap my forehead.

"... This is becoming really painful having him as a boss." Smoker starts to massage his head from frustration.

Pulling the air, Hina slams into my face with her boobs as if she was running somewhere, crashing the both of us to the floor.

"Kya! You pervert took advantage of Hina!" Hina stands up while covering her breasts.

"Ok! I know I didn't warn you, but what were you doing Hina while I summoned you?" I stand up and give her a questioning look.

"Hina was chasing a criminal. He stole from a store I was visiting." Hina

"Sorry, but now we can start discussing what is going on. First off. Right now we are 10 kilometers above the sea surface in the Emperor cloud. Yea this white fluff is some kind of weird cloud that functions as ground or water. I have no idea why so don't ask." I garner many confused looks, but they opt to listen rather than jump to conclusions.

"Now we were shot up by the knock up stream up here and we defeated the local psycho tyrant. Also got the rumble rumble fruit so I can use lightning now as well." I show a few static sparks jumping in my hand.

I can see Hina's and Smoker's eyes twitch from this revelation.

"NO FAIR! Why can't ya give me such an ability?! I wanna zap some elves! Ah just appearing in the forest, throwing lightning at a random elf then disappearing… That would be my new favorite pastime!" Durin crosses his arms as he pouts at such a missed opportunity.

"There are better fruits suited for you, if you really wanna talk about it. But anyway, since we saved the people and to preserve the peace between two tribes I have decided to make this my second base after Alabasta. Janna and Sona will be the ones in charge and I am also planning to make the heads of the tribes the retainers." I explain.

"And what does that matter to us?" Smoker asks.

"I get Vivi as she can advise on how to establish ruling leadership. But me, Captain Smoker and Captain Hina will be staying in Alabasta always with the development and training. So why do you need us?" Tashigi tilts her head, not understanding.

"True, you summoned me and Durin as well. Since I told you before, you don't summon me unnecessarily." Heph

"Well, one of the things is for you to see and enjoy the sceneries offered only up here. As for specifically why I called you here? Vivi is like you said, to establish the rulership." I grab Vivi's hand.

"Tashigi, Smoker and Hina, you will have a mission in a few days to go around the two tribes and pick up some warriors for this local police force. They need to be trustworthy and have the real sense of justice. They will also be able to show you a few interesting items and weapons you can use for the police force." I grin at the three of them.

"Heph and Durin, I called you two to look into the items here. They have some items called dials. Those are unique and have good effects you can use. In a few days I will also get something else you can play with~" I grin at the two craftsmen.

"Oh? I would love to see what you think it's good." Heph says.

"Hoooo!!! Boy, ya getting us some birthday presents, aye?" Durin grins from ear to ear, despite the earlier adrenaline rush.

"This is for the start at least. We are currently helping the Shandians over there with restoring their ruins back to livable space. We will also arrange a party in the evening so we get to know them better. You can use that time to get some of their dials or see about their character." I say to everyone.

"Tomorrow morning, the Skypieans will arrive and we will have the 'negotiations'. Though they were to be focused on us since we are strong enough. But I want to develop these guys. Tomorrow, I will also be getting something else and it might just connect our bases even more. That includes the worlds of Durin, Heph and the other." I finish.

"Wait, are you saying you will be able to make non-summons travel between our worlds?" Heph drew this out of my spoilers.

"Yes. Though it will be heavily guarded on both sides if that happens." I nod at Heph.

"WHAT?! Ya mean ya'll will be able to come to my place?! Braum! When it's possible, I wanna trade anything for some of yer cows! Be it metal, gems, armor or weapons! Ya won't get anything finer anywhere else!" Durin grabs Braums hand.

"Sure, my friend!" Braum laughs.

"AHEM!" Heph gives Durin a stare.

"... Fine! Ya won't be getting anything finer besides from Heph." Durin rolls his eyes.

"Lynx, are you all done yet?" Luffy asks, bored not getting what we are talking about now.

"Yea, we are done. Any of you want to help for now? At least one of you three should go back to oversee things." I ask the three Alabastan police leaders.

"I will go. The less time I spend with you, the more sanity I will retain." Smoker steps forward holding the baton tip as far away as he can.

This time both Durin and Heph, catch the glimpse of the baton.

"... So ya finally achieved it, boy? Ya created a cursed object from that baton…" Durin stays still since he doesn't know what to do.

'Step forward to inspect the weapon or step back because not knowing what the curse might do… I wanna keep my back cave unexplored so let's not approach it.' Durin

"Hm? It seems to be only a low grade cursed weapon… But it seems like it can grow. Can I see it?" Heph comes close and asks Smoker.

"If you figure how to turn off the vibrations and the heat, tell me soon." Smoker hands over the baton since it was quite annoying to hold.

Heph takes it in her arms and uses her appraisal. Her hands slide over the shaft as she concentrates.

"The baton still isn't named. It can only be named by the one who uses the cause of the curse the most- in this case Lynx. After being used in various ways to strike backsides, it started to absorb the powers of the wielders. Right now, it has the enchantment of minor flames, bonus piercing powers, minor aim assist, decreased air resistance, shock absorption and release… It also has bonus fire damage if there is a teddy bear near? What?" Heph is now confused at the last part.

But everyone else looks at Annie- our pyromancer and the only one who has a teddy bear. She looked back at us and Marianne told her what she heard, after which she just grins.

"What? Tibbers had some fun with that fatso~" Annie chuckles darkly.

"'Some' is an understatement seeing how Tibbers abused him to death. But he was someone better to die to the cold." Braum nods.

This statement made all the guys squeeze their asscheeks together unconsciously.

I just walked over to Smoker with a grin and put my arm around him.

"Don't worry Smoker~ I will have someone create a great teddy bear that you can attach to your belt. We will call him Smokey~" I start laughing like a retard after saying that.

Smoker just gives me a death glare and looks at Heph pleadingly.

"Is there some way to at least control the attributes while it's not in use?" Smoker is at the end of his sanity for today.

"Let me tinker with it a bit. I rarely get any cursed items to play with." Heph nods with a small smile.

"Thank you. Can you now let me go back?" Smoker looks at me annoyed.

"Ah sure, here." I created a portal through which Smoker returned to Alabasta.

"Now let's get started!" Luffy yells.

Cricket returned back to Jaya so we could close the portal. Nola went to the outskirts and layed down.

With this our crew started to help the Shandians again with cleaning the ruins. In the meantime the ship group and the other incoming Shandians found us.

Durin took over the restoration of the ruins as his personal project. Who better to ask how to build something strong and from stone than a dwarf?

Tashigi and Hina went to help the Shandians from up close to observe them. Heph was having her fun with the baton for now, but she did provide tools to use with the restoration.

The others mostly helped moving the bigger ruins away or collecting historical items or stones that have writing on them for Robin.

I on the other hand used my new sense to find all the remaining fainted Skypieans and gathered them together so Chopper can look after them.

By the evening, we cleared quite a lot and decided to have a get-to-know party with the Shandians.

We mostly scattered into groups:

The hyped ones like Luffy, Usopp, Lux, Chopper, Buggs, Braum...

The calm ones like Braham, Marianne, Robin...

We partied the whole night with bonfires everywhere, food being delivered from the ship and some houses that were made into cooking houses, while the drink was on Braum. Even some sky wolves decided to jump in and party with us.

Between the playing around I look at the quantity of the Freljord milk being drunk and am astounded. The warriors went crazy over the milk, saying that it invigorates them with its taste.

"Hey, Braum? How come you still have that much milk? Seeing how much we drink, you should be running out of supply." I look at the casual drinking Braum.

"Ah that! I sometimes hunt down some big fish or small seakings. You remember that?" Braum points out.

"Yea, you did that sometimes, but the food always disappeared soon." I raise an eyebrow.

"You remember the rucksack I carried a while ago everytime you sent me back?" Braum

"Yes?" Lynx

"Well, I obtained it from Heph at one point secretly and took the seafood with me back. It has SO MUCH space! I traded the meat in the Freljord for more cows and made a bigger barn! Agatha has many friends now, about a hundred now!" Braum smiles proudly.

"Where do you get the feed? There shouldn't be much grazing space there." Lynx

"Yea, I also caught seaweed drifting by the ship, dried it and brought it back. Cows are now healthier with the feed, hahahah!" Braum laughs out loud.

"That was unexpected but nice Braum! If you need more meat, just ask. We can make a city around your place! We can also have the dugongs in Alabasta cultivate seaweed, dry it and then we send it to you place!" Hearing we can increase the milk and milk-liquor production I immediately wanna invest!

"Hahaha let's do it! We will make the city of milk- The city of Braums dreams! HAHAHAHA!!!" Braum starts to laugh even louder as he hugs me around the shoulders.

At this moment a little girl pulls on my sleeves.

"Huh? I don't believe we met yet. I'm Clawe D Lynx and you? Do you need anything?" Lynx

"I am Aisa. You are strong even though you haven't fought much. Can you take me with you?" Aisa

"Aisa! What are you doing?!" Wyper quickly comes over and tries to grab her, but I grab his arm.

"Wait a minute, please. Now why do you want to follow me?" I fake not knowing why she wants to come.

"... To become a strong fighter! More than everyone else!" She hesitates under Wypers glare but in the end continues after seeing that Wyper doesn't reach further because of me holding him.

Her words also made the closeby Conis stand and listen in.

"Again, the reason for wanting to be strong?" I ask her.

"Because I want to be strong! I want to prevent deaths by being there to stop the one who wants to kill!" Aisa yells.

"Good. We will discuss it tomorrow. For now join the party and enjoy your peace." I smile at her happily.

I patted her head and gave her some milk. Seeing what she got, she quickly grabbed it and ran as fast as wind!

"OI! Aisa! Get back here!!! You're too young for that!!!" Wyper runs after her.

"Uh, too young?" Braum looks confused.

"Alcohol is viewed as something only for adults or warriors I guess?" I shrug my shoulders.

"... These guys are idiots. I've been drinking this since I was a baby! There isn't even any alcohol in this milk! The taste is so strong and some other things… But it certainly isn't alcohol! Gargas told me that after trying it!" Braum sounds insulted.

"... Then go give the milk to every kid and the milk-liquor to the adults so they are too smashed to care." I give him the suggestion with an evil smile.

"Good idea!!!" Braum goes off ready to serve all his booze.

After he left Conis approaches me nervously.

"Will you let that little girl join you? Just because she wants to be strong?" Conis

"Well she has determination to achieve her goal and doesn't care for the consequences. You want to come just because you want safety, with no real dreams." I say to her, why I looked at Aisa more favorably.

"Then I have decided. I will become yours, but you have to take me and help me find my own dream." Conis

"You don't have any?" I look at her confused.

"Living under Enel, can you have any dreams? We were only instructed to follow his commands. Even before that it was all for our God." Conis looks down sad.

"Fine! Then let me help you discover your dream. But let's quickly somewhere quiet~ You go first, I will follow." I wink at her and walk away, so no one will have any idea.

Conis clenches her arms and walks into the woods, while I silently dissolve into sand and disappear into a portal.

The next morning my negotiation group, some patched up Skypieans, the leader Shandians and warriors came towards the shore of Shandia. There we see the ships of the Skypieans arriving with Gan Fall leading them.

"Janna, let's go make a show so they aren't too cocky." I whisper to Janna.

"True, I prefer no fights.

The two of us warp with a lightning flash until we appear above the Skypieans.

*BOOOM!!!*

Multiple lightning extend from the two of us, scaring all the Skypieans.

"Heso Skypieans!!! The tyrannical Enel has been vanquished! We as his betters have taken his spot. But don't think it means worse treatment! As long as you will follow some rules, you will live a much better life! But the most important rule I will share now! The war between the Shandians and Skypieans is over! Anyone who will be malicious to the other group will be punished! That goes for the Shandians as well. NOW LET THE NEGOTIATIONS BEGIN! THE LEADERS COME FORTH!" Lynx
