บท 103: Chapter 103:

"We are finally here," I said, taking a peek into the mine or more like a cave entrance.

"That does not look like a mine at all," Kayda said from behind me.

"Yeah, I agree, but the trolls control the mine, right?" I said, looking at her.

"Yes, they do, or that's what the man said," Kayda said, shrugging.

"Oh, that's right, he did mention that this is troll territory," I said, nodding to myself.

"So, what do you want to do? We can go in and kill everyone." Kayda asked with a raised eyebrow.

"It's too small of a space to test out the chakrams," I said, walking away from the entrance.

"I see. Then do you want to lure them out," Kayda asks, walking closer to me?

"Yes, do you have any ideas?" I said, looking at Kayda.

"Yea, trolls love the smell of blood. To be precise, they love the smell of a female's blood." Kayda said with a serious look.

"Tch, fucken disgusting beings," I said before creating a small dagger and stabbing it into my wrist. Looking at Kayda again, I said. "You better give me mana for this."

"that's fine, but I didn't actually say it should be your blood, but it would work," Kayda said, shrugging.

"it's just easier to do it like this," I said, stabbing my other hand as well.

"you're fortunate you can heal that in a second, you know," Kayda said, looking at me a bit worried.

"Yeah, I know and don't worry, I don't really want to rely on this ability too much. For now, it's for the best," I said, giving a reassuring smile.

"Your mind is growing up, it seems," Kayda mumbled, looking at me.

"Huh? My mind is growing up. What the hell does that mean?" I said, confused.

"Well, let's just say you realize things better now than before. Like when we fought against the crimson bandits, you didn't just jump in like usually but dit it more like a sneak attack." Kayda said with a prideful smile.

"Not really. I did it because you warned me," I said, denying her.

"That might be so, but in the past, you wouldn't have even listened to me. You must only listen to your mother." Kayda said, shocking me."

"I did?" I said, falling into thought.

'Did I really never listen to her or anyone? I can't count teaching as listen as that was because I want to get stronger. I can't really think of an incident where I actually listen to them, not even the mansion massacre. I didn't really listen to mom. then again, I am a teenager, so that's normal not to listen to your parents.' I thought to myself.

"I don't know what to say. I can't remember listening to you before yesterday. Well, I did listen to you to some degree but not fully." I said with a thoughtful look.

"that's true. You did listen to me but not fully trusted me."

"Well, that's not abnormal for what I have been through," I said, shrugging.

"that's true, but now you know that I care about you. Meaning you might listen to my advice." Kayda said, smiling at me.

"Hmm, I guess I can. Seeing as we are dating now," I said, giving Kayda a skeptical look.

"Tch, we are soulmates."

"Yeah and? I still want to learn about you. I don't know anything about you, so we are dating." I said seriously.

"Hmm, that's true. I already know a lot about you thanks to Stacy, but you know nothing about me."

"Except the things you told me on the first day we met."

"Oh right, so you know that I was exiled out of my clan and the reason why?"

"Yeah, but the reason was so dumb. I presumed there was more going on behind the scene."

"Yeah, there was?" Kayda said, surprised my guess was right.

"Sister or brother?"

"Older sister."

"Less talent than you, right."

"Well, in a way, yes, and she... sleeps around a lot," Kayda said with a disappointed look.

"I see so because you are better than her in a lot of ways. She thought of a way to get rid of you," I said with a complicated look.

"Yes, luckily, she couldn't kill me," Kayda said, shrugging.

"Hmm, is that so. I wonder what I will do once I meet your sister one day."

"Probably kill her," Kayda said nonchalantly.

"True, that might happen."

"Anyway, enough reminiscing for now. How far are you from mastering your weapons?" Kayda said, changing the subject.

"Well, every weapon is at the intermediate level," I said, brimming with pride.

"That's good, and your magic?" Kayda asked, making my mood swing a 180.

"I am still at the beginning of the second beam," I said, depressed.

"That is still good, you know," Kayda said, trying to lighten up my mood.

"Amari was close to finishing the second pole before Hugo's deal. She is probably already on her third pole by now," I said, getting more depressed.

"Yes, of course, she is doing better than you. This all she does the entire day is doing the mana control exercise." Kayda said, making me feel dumb.

"Is that so. Now that I think about it. what happened to the harem I got from the Duke and Hugo?" I asked, tilting my head at Kayda.

"They... I don't know. Your mom is probably doing something about it. so don't worry about them for now." Kayda said, putting an end to the subject.

"My mom is doing something. That does worry me a bit." I said with an awkward smile.

'Not that I care what happens to them anyways.' I thought, sighing to myself.

"Oh, they are here," Kayda said bring me out of my thought.

"That was fast," I said, hearing footsteps coming from the cave entrance. Taking out the daggers in my wrist before I took the chakrams out of my storage. Just then, 2 orc-size shadows came out of the cave.

Looking at the trolls, I was quite surprised they don't look like the ones described on earth but also look like them. Big nose, giant head, and big ass front teeth, and surprisingly they had no hair at all, not even on their heads. They were also different skin colors. It's like they are orcs but color-coded.

"Grug Female?" The leading troll grumbled.

"They can talk to some extent, it seems," I said, intrigued.

"Trolls are known for their skin and soft skin. Some can talk to an extent, but not much. They might be as strong as an orc, but their defenses fall way below an orcs defense." Kayda said from the side.

"Soft skin? We will see how soft they are then." I said, floating 2 chakrams into my hands before throwing them at the trolls.

Thud!

Thud!

"Uuuh... Kayda, it can't be that soft right," I said, looking at the decapitated trolls on the ground with a baffled expression.

"No, it's not weak of a skin," Kayda said, also baffled.

After I through the chakrams, they cut through the trolls' necks like a hot knife with butter.

"How is are they so strong?" I muttered, looking at the floating chakrams.

"Maybe you got lucky," Kayda said, not very convincing.

"That might be true. Let's try this." I said before taking another chakram and throwing it into the ground. Contrary to my expectations of just stopping a few cm deep in the ground. They went straight downwards for a couple of meters before coming to a stop. Trying my best to bring them back using my ice, I sigh relief, feeling it getting closer again.

"Kitsuna, is it coming back?" Kayda asks, standing next to me, looking down into the hole the chakram disappeared to.

"No, it's stopped, but I can still move it if I want to," I said bring my hand up to catch the flying chakram.

"So, how far down did it go?"

"a couple of meters," I said, letting all six float in front of me. Looking at the two that had blood on them, I raised an eyebrow before looking at Kayda. "Is trolls' blood the same as their skin color?"

"Oh yes, that's right. I forgot to mention that." Kayda said, seeing the brown blood on one of the chakrams.

"That's kind of cool. Hehe, seeing as they can go through the ground and all, let's go." I said, walking into the cave with an evil grin.

"I might as well see how she is going to handle this," Kayda mumbled to herself.

"Aah, before we go in. Let's try these out first." I said while coming out again and walking towards the two troll corpses.

"Uhm, Kitsuna, don't tell me you're going to try and eat them," Kayda said with a disgusted expression.

"Yeah, why not?" I said, making a big cleaver in my hand.

"That isn't eatable at all," Kayda said, warning me.

"Nah, I will be fine," I said, waving her off.
