บท 33: "Pregnant."
Chapter 33.
Instantly, the smile vanished from his face, and he gave me a blank face.
"Why?" His tone was cold and curt.
I exhaled deeply and closed my eyes. "I'm pregnant." I reopened my eyes and stared at him.
"W-What," His voice broke, and he looked around the room before looking at me again." you're pregnant so you're breaking up with me? Wouldn't it be better for our baby if we were together?"
"That's the thing, Harry. It isn't our baby."
"You're a surrogate? That's okay, baby. I just wish you talked to me about it but I can help you through it. I'll look after you while you're pregnant." Slowly, the smile stretched his face again.
"No Harry. You don't understand. The baby is mine, but it isn't yours."
"A sperm donor? What for babe? You could've told me. I have plenty of sperm to donate to you." He gave me a cheeky wink, and I mentally facepalmed.
"No, Harry."
Finally, realisation dawned on him, and he slightly moved away from me. "Y-You cheated?"
"No H-"
"And you got pregnant! Karma's really a bitch. I'm done with this shit!" He stood up and headed for my bedroom door.
I hurriedly stood up and was overcome with a dizzy spell but I ignored it and grabbed Harry's wrist. It was as if my touch burned him because he ripped his hand from my hold.
"Don't touch me!"
"Listen then! I never cheated. It was before you and I dated and I didn't tell you about it because- well frankly it wasn't your business." I moved around him and stood in front of him so he couldn't leave.
"Okay. You're pregnant. We've broken up. What other reason do I have to be here?"
I slowly moved out of the way and I stared at him as he left my room and possibly my life.
I heard Nero barking at Harry and smiled slightly. He never liked Harry.

Liam's POV.
I had sat in my living room for nearly 4 hours. Most of the time I was doing work on my laptop but for about an hour, I couldn't concentrate. Noah was at my house with Raegan and Noah wouldn't let me leave because apparently, he'd be bored once Raegan was asleep. I could definitely say that fatherhood made him a pleasant person, but he was more annoying than ever.
As soon as I was about to do more work, my doorbell rang. I used that as an excuse to leave the living room and I gave Noah a smirk and he stuck his tongue out at me childishly.
Was he really a father?
The smirk was still on my face but when I opened the door, my smirk dropped.
Kehlani?
"W-What are you doing here?"
"Can we talk?" I nodded and let her in, and she walked to the living room.
I closed the door and followed behind her and saw her picking up Raegan and she kissed her cheeks before returning her to Noah.
"Uh, let's go to the patio."
I walked to my covered patio without checking to see if she was behind me.
I sat down and Kehlani sat in front of me.
"So, what's up? How come you're here?"
"Right so I can't do this alone. We're both responsible. We can do this. Because I know for sure. I need you. No, we need you. I know that when we had sex we told no one, well now people will find out. But how could you cheat on Ella?! Anyway, that's not even what I came to say. I'm freaking out. I have told no one but Harry an-"
My phone rang cutting her off.
I gave her a sheepish look and put the phone to my ear.
"Sir, you're needed at the office. I understand it's 7 pm, but I rescheduled one of your meetings to an hour from now because you no longer have free time tomorrow as your father wants to have a meeting with you."
I pinched the bridge of my nose and sighed but agreed.
I walked back to Kehlani and saw her staring off into space.
"Kehlani? Sorry, but I have to go I'm needed at work."
I hurried into my room and changed into a fresh Armani suit and walked out of the house after bidding my goodbyes to Noah and Raegan.

After my meeting, I stayed at my office and continued the work I was doing at home.
I kept thinking back to what Kehlani was saying. Yes, she was rambling, but I heard everything she said. At first, I didn't even know who it was that I had sex with a few months back but when she mentioned it, I instantly knew that it was her because I hadn't told a soul about me sleeping with someone else when Ella and I went on a break.
I couldn't do any work. I just kept thinking about what Kehlani wanted to say. I kept thinking until the early hours of the morning and even then; I hadn't figured out what she had come to my house for.
What did she mean by we need you?
Why did she need me? And who else needed me? How could I be of help to her and someone else?
As night became day, I began to understand.
Kehlani was pregnant.
