Some had escaped, but those were just the ones closest to the ducal manor. Meaning… they were the nobles. Most common folk had died without a chance. That was why she was brave enough to nosedive into the duchy.

That was also why she was ballsy enough to activate Soul Devour as soon as the demon servants got in range.

Black mist corroded every living being in its path, and the demon servants were shocked by the power of the archduchess. It was said that even the archduke could not harm them, and yet the archduchess was killing them like they were insects under her shoe. The demon servants began to escape the range and attack from afar.
