The evening had been better than Hawi had expected. She had always been used to fighting and not resolving things but when Elodie suggested that this wasn't what it seemed, Hawi had taken the leap of faith to figure it out herself. 

She had taken her mate on a date in a different realm just so she could understand what she had missed and by the time they were done for the evening, she knew that once again, she had been too quick to react. 

She should have listened to her mate and she shouldn't have left her there when they had things to talk about. It was not something hair was used to, but Rukiya Greyson was turning her into a humane leader.
