บท 48: Chapter 48 - Stimulating Potential.
Tatsuya and Xiao Ning'er were following Ye Yan to the depths of Heavenly Sacred Border.
As they walked further into the Heavenly Sacred Border, all sorts of illusions began to appear within their heads, as though thousands of demon beasts were attacking from all sides.
If someone tried to use an illusion on him by manipulating his mind or senses, then he would be immune to them.
But, illusions here originated from an array. If Tatsuya wanted, he could destroy the Inscription array. He didn't because this was practice for Ning'Er.
Tatsuya glanced at the wind swords that Xiao Ning'Er was trying to create. She saw his fight taking inspiration from it; she was trying to make swords made of wind and thunder.
Just making swords of thunder were hard; she started practicing by making a sword of wind. After she got some practice doing that, she planned to control thunder.
Ye Yan, who was watching this along the way, was amazed. He had expected them to be talented, but the girl alone was amazing.
Soon, an intense murderous aura covered them. It must be aura from that sword.
When that aura covered Xiao Ning'Er, she stopped in the same place. Her whole body started shivering.
Ye Yan glanced at Tatsuya, who was completely fine under such murderous intention, "You should help her!"
Tatsuya glanced at her before moving forward.
Ye Yan looked at this and flew in front of him, "Kid!!! What do you think you are doing? That girl will get hurt."
Tatsuya didn't say anything, "She will be fine."
Ye Yan glanced at Xiao Ning'Er, who was shivering sweat covered her whole body. Her eyes were becoming blank, "Kid!! I don't know where you are looking that girl is in danger."
"I trust her!" Tatsuya said while moving forward.
Xiao Ning'Er's mind blanked when the murderous intention covered her. She tried to fight back, slowly she could see what was outside; she still couldn't move her body.
'Tatsuya' She could see him moving away. She wanted him to stop; she wanted him to help her.
'Tatsuya!!' She tried calling him, but he kept moving away.
'Tatsuya!' 'Tatsuya!' seeing him not hearing her voice, she felt like crying.
'Is he abandoning me because I am weak?'
'Tatsuya...I!!'
"I trust her!"
When Xiao Ning'Er heard those words, she felt her fighting spirit rise.
'Right! I am not weak!' her soul force started to surge. 'He trusts me!'
'I can do this!'
Ye Yan, who was looking at Xiao Ning'Er, was shocked, "She...!!! She moved!!!"
Tatsuya also stopped and looked back, "I know!! Let's go. She can walk on her own."
They gradually got closer to the core of the Heavenly Sacred Border. On an ancient altar far away, a divine sword appeared within Tatsuya's sight.
Tatsuya saw a sword covered in lightning. The sound of wind and thunder came from the sword in the center. When Tatsuya looked up, he could see clouds covering the sky. Raging winds and thunder surrounded it.
When he looked at this scene, he stopped. He didn't move for a while.
Ye Yan, who saw him stop, glared at him, "What? Did you get scared now?"
He was still angry that the kid left the girl behind, even if he said that he trusted her. He thought that was just some excuse.
Tatsuya went forward and sat down on the steps leading above the platform.
Ye Yan kept trying to talk to Tatsuya but, Tatsuya ignored him. After a few hours, even Ye Yan stopped trying to talk. Finally, they waited for the next few days until Xiao Ning'Er came walking. She had a haggard expression; her steps were unsteady.
Finally, somehow she dragged her body in front of Tatsuya. Her eyes were empty. When she finally reached Tatsuya, her body dropped forward.
Ye Yan looked at Tatsuya and Xiao Ning'Er in disbelief. He had waited with Tatsuya for the last three days. He didn't know why he was sitting under such murderous intention, and that too for three days.
When he saw Xiao Ning'Er walk from the forest, he understood that he was confident that the girl would reach here.
He found it more unbelievable that the girl reached here under such murderous intention. Only seasoned warriors were able to ignore this murderous intention.
Tatsuya hugged Xiao Ning'Er's body. His soul force covered her, protecting her from the murderous intention.
'Tatsuya' light simmered in Ning'Er's eyes.
A small smile appeared on Tatsuya's face. He put his hand in front of her eyes, 'Inemuri.'
Xiao Ning'Er closed her eyes; she fell into slumber.
Tatsuya gently combed her hair before taking out a bed from his ring and placing her on it.
He started inscribing an array.
Ye Yan raised his eyebrows, "Kid!! what are you doing now?"
"Forming an array to protect her."
Ye Yan frowned.
After a few hours, Xiao Ning'Er opened her eyes. She looked around and, Tatsuya was sitting near the bedside. She was sleeping on the bed.
She abruptly raised her body, "Tatsuya!!"
Tatsuya looked at her with a slight smile on his face, "You did well!!"
Xiao Ning'Er watched him; She laid down on the bed with force before turning away from him. She started sulking, "You left me behind!"
She knew he did it for her good. After going through that ordeal, her soul force seemed denser. She could feel she was more powerful than before. Even so, she was not happy.
Tatsuya didn't say anything; he gently sat by her back and started caressing her head, "Ok!!"
Ning'Er pushed his hand away, "What ok!!!"
Tatsuya started to caress her head again, "I won't apologize for believing in you."
Xiao Ning'Er, who heard that stopped sulking for a moment. A blush crept up on her face. She didn't speak, just enjoyed his care.
After a while, she turned around, "Tatsuya!"
"Yeah!!"
She held his hand with both her hands, "Next time, don't leave me even if it is for my good!"
Tatsuya nodded, "Ok! I won't."
*Cough* "Are you two lovebirds done."
Xiao Ning'Er, who had barely collected some courage to face Tatsuya, blushed even more after hearing that. She turned away and curled up in bed.
Tatsuya sighed before glancing at Ye Yan.
Ye Yan seemed to know this was his fault looked away.
Tatsuya gently turned Ning'Er to his side, "Ning'Er look there..."
Even after Tatsuya turned her, she still had her eyes tightly closed; she slowly opened her eyes before closing them again. She tried to open her eyes once more; she wanted to shut them, but something attracted her attention.
Storm and thunder reflected in her eyes; she could feel her heart speed up. When her eyes landed at the sword in the center, her soul force started raging. Garuda inside was moving on instinct; before she knew, wind and thunder raged around her.
The bed under her got destroyed. Tatsuya jumped away from her; Ye Yan got blown away by the wind.
Shortly a tornado formed with Ning'Er at the center. Tatsuya, who was already far away, could see the pieces of bed inside the tornado.
Ye Yan looked at this with surprise, "What is going on?"
Tatsuya glanced at him, "well, Ning'Er possesses the same element as that sword. That sword is stimulating the demon spirit inside her, and that, in turn, is bringing out her potential."
Ye Yan's eyes became wide open, " You already knew that?"
Tatsuya shook his head, "No! When I saw that sword, I just thought it is a perfect weapon for Ning'Er. Just, it is far too strong for her to wield but, the least she could do is stimulate her potential."
Ye Yan's mouth opened agape, "that is just stimulating some potential?"
Looking at the ever-growing tornado, he started to doubt if this was stimulating some potential.
In a moment, blue dots of light started gathering beside Tatsuya. Soon, they formed another Tatsuya.
Tatsuya nodded to the new counterpart, "We will be leaving."
The other Tatsuya nodded back, "I will take care of things here!"
The original Tatsuya looked towards Ye Yan, "We should go!"
Ye Yan looked towards the two Tatsuya then at the tornado that was still growing, "what is going on? why are there two of you?"
"It is one of the abilities of my demon spirit." Tatsuya was talking about Bahamut's ability to duplicate. The best thing about this ability was that it allowed Tatsuya to stay connected to different dimensions even after he left them. He left one beside Miyuki; otherwise, he would have never been able to go to these secret realms without Miyuki.
Ye Yan, who was following him, was confused. He was sure of one thing that both these kids were something else. He had some great expectations about what all had changed in the Glory City.
"Wait, I can't go outside. I am attached to the sword; I can't leave this place until you take that sword. Even if you do, I will dissipate in a few days."
Ye Yan was able to survive so long as a part of that sword. This whole Heavenly Sacred Border worked because that sword was at its core. He wasn't sure how long it would survive.
Tatsuya nodded, "Ok!! I will come again when Ning'Er completely stimulates her potential. It might take a few weeks or a month, but I will know when she is ready to leave. I will come back and take the sword then."
Ye Yan sighed, "Fine!"
Tatsuya glanced at him, "I need the cultivation techniques if possible."
Ye Yan narrowed his eyes; he took out five techniques, "Here! these are all the legend rank techniques I have."
Tatsuya looked at the techniques, 'Revolving Spiritual Wood, Yang Spiritual, Ash Wolves, Sword of Wind, Thunderfire Annihilation, they are all legend rank. With prediction, I would be able to improve them into techniques with great potential. Good enough for the next plan.'
"Don't you have any more?"
Ye Yan shook his head, "I don't."
"Then, I will be leaving."
Outside Heavenly Sacred Border,
When Tatsuya alone appeared, Ye Sheng was surprised, "Where is Xiao Ning'Er?"
"She found a chance in the realm, Vice Principal; if someone wants to enter the Heavenly Sacred Border, then I would like you to warn them. They will most likely die."
Tatsuya wasn't lying. The tornado was still expanding, and it was colliding with a forcefield that was created by the sword.
