Under an isolated huge tree with dazzling pink flowers like those in the Huishe clan's sacred garden sat a beautiful woman staring down at a pond with a thoughtful expression. She wasn't watching the peculiar creatures in the pond but the images flashing by.

Everything that happened to Rui Fei she had seen it but she could only helplessly watch on. She wished she could rip through the rift keeping them apart and embrace her cub but that in itself was impossible.

The one time she tried to intervene she was punished severely. She had the scars on her arm to prove it. She knew she couldn't do anything to change her son's situation and watching him was like torture but she still couldn't resist.
