บท 21: Racing Red

Someone is holding me and shaking me violently with extreme force. I jerk and gasp for air. Something is caressing me in the back of my neck. It runs through my spin and drips in the ground. I slowly take my shaking finger and touch my neck. A crimson fluid runs through my fingers now.

"Hey? Hey, are you alright?" I can't reckon who is talking to me.

"Mommy" I whimper.

"Is that you?" I ask unsure.

"Yes. Yes, it is." She wraps her arms around me and rocks me slowly.

"What happened?" I ask her clinging to her arms.

"You fell on the ground after cutting your hair. You must have lost blood." She presses her lips together and stares at me.
