Hearing Shui Jin's words, Ying Yue burst out with laughter. She was laughing while she held her stomach whereas Shui Jin was looking at her in confusion. After she was done laughing, Ying Yue said, "What Fire? Are you from a drama club? But then you healed me too. Okay, I got it, nevermind. You don't need to accompany me, just tell me where I should be headed to go out?" Ying Yue finally asked.
"Drama?" Murmured Shui Jin confusedly and then looked at Ying Yue. "Sorry, Miss, for not telling you about me. I realize that you must be scared of me. I'm Fu Shui Jin, an immortal cultivator of the Water Jin Sect. Based on your attire, I am guessing that you are from the Huo sect, which resides at the downhill of Mount Tai. Please miss, it is this way. I shall take you there," stated Shui Jin.
"Wait. I think you're mad- I mean you don't know about the highway. And what's this thing about sect? Listen I'm grateful that you helped me but I don't want to go anywhere with you. Okay, let's part our ways."
Saying this Ying Yue turned to leave when she felt her head getting heavy, her vision started to get blurry and she almost hit the ground when Shui Jin caught her. "Her forehead is wounded. It appears as if she fell from quite a great height," murmured Shui Jin.
He carried her in his arms, bringing her closer to his chest. Ying Yue's head rested peacefully on his shoulder after which he strengthened his grip around her and flew towards the bottom side of Mount Tai where the Huo sect was situated.
In the Huo palace, chaos could be seen as Ying Yue wasn't there. All the palace guards were summoned by the Huo Sect leader, Mofeng. "Go, look for my daughter in every corner that is there," ordered Mofeng. Daisung was also ready to leave with some of the soldiers when they saw a white figure, walking towards them.
Mofeng came down the stairs and looked at the white figure. Daisung walked near his father and whispered in his ear, "Father, isn't he the water immortal cultivator?"
"Indeed. Is he carrying my daughter in his arms?" Mumbled Mofeng and stepped towards him. He was shocked to see his daughter like that and the first thought that came to his mind was that his daughter is dead.
He ran to Shui Jin and with teary eyes said, "Why did you do this? My daughter-" Daisung was confused to see his father so he also walked to them. Shui Jin understood what was going through Huo Sect's leader's head.
"Don't worry. Your daughter is safe. It's just that she needs some rest. She isn't healed completely but if you allow me, I can heal her," stated Shui Jin in a polite manner.
The mask over his face was completely covering the scar, even still the mortal beings were afraid of him, worried that if he would take the mask off and that they would die. Shui Jin for a second felt bad because of his curse but seeing the woman in his arms, his fear vanished.
Daisung opened his mouth to speak, "Please come this way." Shui Jin nodded and left with him, followed by Mofeng. As they arrived Ying Yue's chamber, Shui Jin noticed the glances of women at him. Some of them were whispering too about the scar. But he was used to hearing such whispers from the people.
Ignoring all of them, Shui Jin stepped inside. Dongmei asked him if his daughter is fine. "Don't worry, mother. Ying Yue is fine," said Daisung and told Shui Jin to put Ying Yue on the bed. Shui Jin did so and covered Ying Yue from the blanket.
He then turned to them when Mofeng greeted him by giving a formal greeting as Shui Jin is from the respected Jin Sect. Daisung did so, followed by the other women there. Shui Jin slightly bowed his head in respect and then said, "Miss Yue's body isn't completely healed. If you can allow it, I shall start immediately." Shui Jin offered.
Mofeng was a bit hesitant towards this as he was worried about what if his daughter saw Shui Jin's face. "I can understand your apprehensions but I can assure you that there is nothing to be afraid of. I want to talk with you in private. There is something very important that I must discuss with you," said Shui Jin, looking at Mofeng.
Dongmei sat beside Ying Yue and was caressing her head. Mofeng nodded. "Please, follow me this way with me," stated Mofeng and left the chamber with Shui Jin. Mofeng led the way and both of them went inside the private chamber that belonged to Mofeng.
"Shui Jin, this is a safe place for a private conversation. Please have a seat before we begin." Mofeng offered. Shui Jin thanked him and rested on the cushioned seat situated on his left. Mofeng took the seat opposite Shui Jin.
"I am well aware that because of this scar I possess you are quite hesitant. As a matter of fact, from time to time it even manages to scare me. But a very strange thing happened today. Your daughter, Miss Yue, accidentally saw my scar." Mofeng froze in his seat as shock possessed his entire body. He was worried since his worst fear was about to be confirmed. Shui Jin, who noticed these subtle changes in the other's demeanor, then narrated him the entire incident.
"So, you're implying that she's the legendary Fire Spirit?" Mofeng asked for the confirmation. Shui Jin nodded with a slight tender smile on his lips.
"According to the legends, the Huo sect symbolizes the 'fire'. You know about this far better than anyone else, including me. She was injured pretty badly when we met, but then the speed with which her wounds were healed, it could depict only one thing- she's the fire spirit. I wanted to talk to you about this privately because no one else knows about this nor do I want to let anyone else know about this," asserted Shui Jin.
Mofeng looked at him with a questionable look. So, he asked, "why do you wish for such?"
"She fell from such a great height, and yet nothing severe happened to her. Why? The only explanation is that she is the fire spirit. As a cultivator, you must have observed that Miss Yue has a very little 'Qi' or you can say that it is almost nil and yet she manages to recover with such a remarkable pace.
If anyone finds out about this, it could endanger her life which is why I'm suggesting you to not to mention this to anyone." Shui Jin stressed his last word.
Mofeng understood and assured him he abide by his wishes and will not tell anyone about this.
"I just wanted to ask you for one more special thing." Shui Jin muttered in quite a serious tone. Mofeng looked at him and told him to ask.
"As I mentioned before that nothing happened to your daughter when she lifted off this mask from my face and gazed at it directly. It's because she's the one who will lift this fatal scar off my face. She is my bride which is why I want to ask for her hand from you. My father will approach you soon enough to discuss with you regarding this matter." Shui Jin stated.
"Marry?" Questioned Mofeng.
"Indeed. She is the one who is supposed to be my bride ever since the beginning of time and whom I have been searching for a long time," asserted Shui Jin. "But before that I must heal her. Also, I am concerned that she lacks certain cultivation skills which is why she must learn cultivation properly to make her inner strength even more strong." Shui Jin told Mofeng.
"It's all so sudden for me. I mean-"
"I understand that too. But she has to learn this as she is the legendary Fire Spirit. I'm afraid as a cultivator you must have noticed this but chose to ignore it as you never wanted her to get separated from yourself." Shui Jin further said.
"You are not wrong. Ever since she was a little kid, she remained sick most of the time. Now that I think-"
"The fire spirit inside her weakened her? Is that what you were thinking of?" Shui Jin inquired.
"Yes," responded Mofeng.
"You're wrong. Because of the fire spirit she's alive or else she would not have been able to survive this long which is why I'm stressing so much about her cultivation skills. Her body is weak from the moment she was born, but the fire spirit in her body did not let her persih. When she will learn the cultivation, the fire spirit will grow further strong and help her in a tremendous way." Shui Jin explained.
Mofeng after thinking for a while agreed with Shui Jin. "You should start with healing her. It is an honor for my daughter that you are the one who is healing her. I am willing to give you my daughter for the purposes of marriage," said Mofeng with a smile. Shui Jin thanked him and before he asked to take leave so that they could go to Ying Yue's chamber.
