Hanna was absolutely mortified! The man she feared most, the murderer of her dear parents had snatched her up in his arms! Her little pounding heart was filling her already distraught mind with panic, distress, and abject fear.
As she was being hauled off, Hanna was to afraid to even yell out as Martinez jolted her about, rapidly switching directions to escape Queen. The thick smoke and swirling ash were dizzying and soon disoriented her entirely. They had long since left the electric car lot and had in mere seconds, gone more than four blocks away. All the while coming even closer to the oncoming wall of flames.
Then, with a jarring halt, Martinez suddenly stopped running. Hanna let out a gasp of air as her stomach was squeezed tightly by his arm’s grip around her. Without a word, Martinez looked down at Hanna with a sneer.
Trembling, Hanna managed to muster up the courage to speak, “L-let me go y-you murderer!”
