บท 102: Ch.102 Some coal in your socks...
The police captain came out of his office while shouting,"Valentine!What the heck are you doing shooting people for?"
She just simply walked over to, what used to be her desk, taking her extra clips from the drawer, and reloaded her gun's magazine saying,"There infected, I told you before... you should shoot them in the head." While putting on her black shoulder holster, packing it with spare clips for her gun.
She turned around, and shot one more zombie by the bench, cuffed near another one of the main characters in the movie. The comedic, L.J.
When L.J. saw that Jill was still pointing the gun in his direction, He quickly closed his eyes, raised the hand that wasn't cuffed to the bench and said,"Don't shoot I ain't one of them!"
Only to his surprise when, he didn't feel any pain. Jill wasn't aimming for him at all. But, at the handcuffs secured to the bench.
She then walks pass him saying,"I'm leaving town, and I suggest you all do the same."
Zheng was about to interject, by asking if he and the others could hitch a ride with Jill on the way to the bridge.
But, Jill saw someone familiar ahead, So she hurried pass Zheng, and delivered a slap to Kris's face saying,"You have a lot of guts showing your face to me, I should just shoot you right now."
Kris already saw the slap coming, but choose not to dodge. Because he was curious about the background story the system gave him this time.
When the slap arrive Kris put on his best "I deserved that" face coupled with him closing his eyes as if savoring the slap.
Which caught everyone flatfooted. It was ChengXiao who recovered first as he asked,"What God awful thing did you do to this poor lovely lady!"
Kris just opened his left eye with a raised eyebrow at the man, and looked at the fuming Jill.
As she asked him,"Where were you?! We all thought you died in that mansion, after bravo team didn't respond Alpha was sent. I was with them, and we lost alot of good people just to get back from there." she was now in tears as she kept punching Kris in the chest.
Kris's defensive reflex of rolling with the awkward situation kicked in, and gave Jill a small hug and rubbed her back until she calm down.
But, his mind was racing a mile, a minute as things plays thru... then he remembered.
'Shyt she said "Bravo Team" and "Alpha Team" she doesn't mean the one that went to the Arklay mountain's Spencer mansion right? But, that's from the game's storyline. Shyt! stupid adaptation didn't explain alot of things in the movie so now God is heavily improvising.'
"I was given a different assignment, it was very covert and last minute. I had no choice but to go without telling anybody. I'm sorry if, I worried you." said Kris as he was now holding both Jill's shoulders and staring into her eyes.
"There's only a few of us left now... Where were you all this time? It wasn't till we came back that, we learned you weren't with Redfield and Bravo Team, when they were dispatched. But, they won't tell us anything." said Jill now that she calm down.
Kris could only sigh as he finally proven his conjecture.
"I just woke up in the hospital a while ago. I was told, I was brought in due to a head injury. So some things are still sort of jumbled in my head at the moment... So take it easy on me.Ok..." Kris just pulled one lie after another out his a*s.
"I heard, your going out of this hell hole? could some of us tag along?" He asked the now composed Jill. Well she was a very adaptable person. So she doesn't get easily hang up on this kind of things.
She nodded and said,"Sure, but your driving!" she said with a smirk as she throw the keys at him.
"Just one minute, I need to talk to some guys. Ok?" Jill just waved him off as she walked out of the station.
Kris looked at Zheng saying,"You heard that too right? It's twice in a row now, that the background story God has given us is too indepth."
"Zheng do you mind if we switch roles, or better yet go with Yinkong and when you find the girl. Get out of the city as fast as you can. We need to finish this mission quickly before anything else changes." said Kris at the now pensive Zheng.
"Look! Zheng I need to get to the bottom of this. Don't worry I will update you thru the communicator if anything changes." said Kris.
Zheng was hesitant at first but then he thought of team Devil, and agreed with Kris. The sooner they get out of here, the better. So he gave a nod, and talk to the others about the change of plans.
After the talk, they proceeded without anymore delays Tengyi, ChengXiao, Honglu, and ZhuWen tagged along with Kris and Jill taking a bigger vehicle with them towards the bridge check point. As Jill's cruiser was to cramped for the group.
While Zheng, Yinkong, and Lan went to the Raccoon City Junior High to look for Angela.
As Kris, Jill, and the rest were on their way to the check point at the bridge, Jill asked Kris,"So, where did they send you that it was so hush-hush?"
Kris thought it would be ok to tell her about the events that went on in the hive. So he started with saying, "They tasked me to infiltrate the umbrella corporations secret facility located below this city."
"It was ok at first, then some douche tried to steal the bioweapon they were trying to create. And everything went to hell."
Kris told her the previous movie's plot summary, and how they were seperated from the others. He told an epic escape story on how they found a way out thru the main computers cooling system, while fight off zombies along the way.
Until he ended the story with him waking up in a hospital bed, while every Tom, Dick, and Harry was going crazy about zombies outside his hospital room.
When he was done telling her about the goings on from his side, Jill wanted to stop over to get some supplies. But, Kris told her that he's got it all covered, and they should prioritize heading towards the check point.
It wasn't even sun down when they got there, So ChengXiao, Tengyi, ZhuWen, and Honglu easily got thru the check point. This is when Kris pulled Jill to the side saying,"Jill do you trust me?"
"Well, you haven't been telling the whole truth for a while now. But, I guess you haven't led me astray so far."
Kris gave her a,'You just could have said something, and not let me act like an a*s the whole time.' look.
(A/N: Yup there's a specific look for this, Its the kind of look. You give bacon as it slowly cooks it self with is own oil or something.)
She just shrugged, and said,"Hey, this isn't the first time you told me some bullshyt story. Well, that one time was when you were trying to get into my pants. But, Hey! When you hear it once you've heard all of them."
"So, what brought this on? The truth this time!" she harden her gaze and stared Kris down.
"Ok, you win! But, keep an open mind Ok 'cause this will be really fooked up." Kris told her about God's Dimension, and the movie worlds. Which cost him a whole 700pts.
"So, this place is just one dimension under this God. And the events on this dimension was turned into some kind of movie... am I understanding that right?" she skeptically confirmed her understanding to the now panting Kris.
He never had to explain this things to anyone before without making him sound crazy. So, it took alot of effort on his part.
Kris gave her a look saying,"Well, that's close enough. But, we don't have the time to talk about it now. Another team will be coming to Kill this team I'm in soon, and possibly you. Since you're one of the main characters of this movie. So, answer the question do you trust me?"
"Ok, Yes! For now. So, what now?" answered Jill
"I want you to stick close to me, as we will be doing some hunting. And I'll have to ask you to hold out your arm. So, I could give you this injection that will give you superhuman abilities." said Kris with a straight face.
"I hope this is not some cheesy ploy to sleep with me. 'cause the last time you ask me to be the mother of your children, went very close to me shooting you in the nuts." She was saying that. But, Jill still held her arm out to allow Kris to give her the injection.
'I'm starting to think that God is just being bitter since it can't control me like it used to, so it's trying to ruin my rep, as payback. I'm sure glad, I didn't brought Felicity with me this time.'
