บท 79: Dormitory....polar star
Seeing that they have the same dormitory. They decided to go together.
"Go to this store later with me...I heard there is a test in every dormitory. You should buy some ingredients for your dish as they might not have any. I'm gonna leave now since I need to do something, so I'll meet up with you at this store after school ends" he said then pointed a store at the map.
"Un! Thanks for the warning...I'm gonna see you later!" Yukihira said then left. Hideo went to search for tadokoro megumi.
'Oh, she's there!' Hideo thought then walk up to her.
"Hello, why are you alone here?" Hideo asks her with a smile on his face.
"N-nothing! I was just thinking about a lot of things"
"Is that so? Just try your best and you will be able to do it and be more confident to yourself" hideo said as he really think that tadokoro has talents. in the anime, she was talented and really cared about the people who will eat her dish. The only thing that is holding her back is her nervous attitude.
"When you are nervous, you will become tunnel visioned and won't be able to think properly. So relax yourself and be more confident in your skill"
"Thank you for the encouragement..." tadokoro said with a bright smile.
Somewhere behind the stage, erina was peeking at them.
'Why are you talking to other girls?' She gritted her teeth in jealousy as she look at hideo talking to another girl.
"Well, I gotta go now...bye"
"Un! Thank you..."
Looking at the back of hideo leaving. She was surprised that the new student was really kind.
Going to the class, he was surprised that he is in the same class as souma. Since he thought he was gonna be assigned somewhere else
"Yo, hideo! We met again!"
"Yeah...I didn't think we would be in the same class"
While talking to each other tadokoro, just looks at them with a confused expression. She stop writing something on her palms

"Un! Let's do our best cause I will win against you!" Souma said as he is determined to win against hideo. When they took the exam the reaction of erina to hideo's dish and his dish was so different that he felt inferior to hideo.
"Tadokoro, remember to be more confident to yourself...I think you have a great talent! That's what my instinct say" hideo said then went to his kitchen table.
Soon a teacher came in.
"Greetings! Young apprentice!" The teacher said then explained that if they got a grade below A he will automatically make it into E.
Soon, someone started to write some kind of recipe of 'braised beef bourgogne style dish'. Hideo read the recipe and immediately knew how to make it then wanted to make it perfectly with his own mixes in it.
He look towards his partner and said "leave everything to me..."
"Huh? What are you saying? Are you looking down on me" hearing hideo's words he couldn't help, but get mad at him.
"Just leave it to me"
They started to look at the recipe as they cook all the things needed.
As hideo was cooking, he knew that someone was plotting something to yukihira and tadokoro. Looking at them opening the lid of their pot. Hideo decided to stop them.
He stopped them then said "if you plan on doing this kind of pathetic things...it's better to stop or you will get karma biting you back"
"Tsk! Fucking new student" the two guy muttered then came back to their cooking table.
The teacher noticed hideo's action then smiled at him as he found his action to be good.
Soon hideo finished, his partner was frustrated as most of the important parts was done by hideo.
Perfectly making it with his own mix into it. He was graded 'A'. The teacher who they said never smiled was smiling as he taste the dish.
"Fuah! What is this meat? It's so soft and the taste is even better than the ones. What did you put in it?"
"It's my secret..."

"Tsk! Cheapskate.....if I would grade this, it would be A, as it's the highest grade I can give. If only there is a higher grade than A I would have given it to you"
Soon it was yukihira's turn. the same as hideo, he was given an A and the chef was smiling as well.
Time passed by, hideo is with tadokoro and yukihira. Cleaning and putting back the things they used back in its place. Yukihira pulled out a container out of nowhere.
"Do you want to try my new recipe?" Yukihira said with an evil smile.
"I can? Then I will..." tadokoro said as he trust that yukihira is a great chef and was looking forward to tasting it.
"Pfft!" Hideo couldn't hold back his laughter as he look at tadokoro about to try yukihira's dish and how gullible tadokoro.
Noo! It taste horrible! *cough *cough"
Class ended, hideo went to the store with yukihira. They were planning to meet up there after school, but since they are in the same class. They decided to go together. After Gathering their own ingredients, they left the store and started walking towards the dormitory.
"Haah! Haah! How long will it take to get there!" Yukihira complained
"I don't know maybe another 20 minutes?"
"Tsk! It's so far away...and you, why do you seem like you are not tired at all?"
"Well, I workout in my free time. Thanks to it I have a pretty good stamina"
"Haah! I'm so hungry....I should have bought a sandwich or something".
"Well....just be patient we will get there soon"
After 30 minutes of walking soma was tired and disappointed as he looks at the crow flying around the dorm, the two of them go in the dorm.
As they go in the disaster that hideo knew in the anime is happening in front of him. Multiple animals running around the hallway, smoke all over the place.
"No don't run away from me!"A girl said as she chase the animals.
"Hey, room 106! Don't you dare let game animals into your room! If you do it again, I will skin you alive!"
"sorry ma'am!"
all of them apologized as they get scolded. the one fighting in their room, the one who turned a room into his smoker.
an old woman emerged from the dark, and asks them "are you the two new transferred student? yukihira and takashi?"
"y-yes ma'am" hideo answered politely
"I'm the caretaker of this dormitory, fumio! call me fumio san, the madonna of the polar star" she introduced herself
"it seems like you already brought your ingredients...come in" fumio said then guides them in the kitchen.
going inside the kitchen it was pretty normal and it looks like the one in the show as well. he was excited to cook and meet all the girls inside this dormitory.
"thank you for telling me that there is an exam we need to pass..." yukihira thankfully said
"it's nothing it was written in the paper, you just didn't read it"
"hehe"
they started to cook their recipe, hideo decided to go with a light dish that is full of vegetables. At the same time yukihira started to cook his heavy dish as well. hideo knew what soma was trying to make, so he decided to go with a light one and he is planning to let soma finish first.
soon, soma finished cooking his dish.
"this is my yukihira special, cheap beef hamburg!"
looking at this appetizing meal, fumio gulped as she slice through the patty. While she slice it in half juices came out of it making her wanting to taste it quickly. tasting the flavor and the juiciness of the meat. she started to have flash backs of her teenage days.

looking at her trying to kiss yukihira, he didn't stop her as he found it funny. soon, it was hideo's dish. using her chopstick to pick up this colorful vegetables, putting it inside her mouth a burst of flavor runs though her mouth as she couldn't help, but smile happily as she eat all of the food.
"ahem! the two of you passed! welcome to polar star dormitory!"
"glad you like it!" yukihira said as he remove the towel on his head.
