บท 72: Chapter 72: new plans

Boom!

The pair of lovers ran out of their tent with half ladle eyes to see what the hell was going on. Snow-covered creatures ripped through tents grabbing hold of the residents resting inside that were once snoring away reality.

They started clawing and biting at the large snow-covered hands that gripped their bodies tightly, light cuts showed for their efforts. A small dribble of blue blood leaked out of the Chenoo hands. It couldn't care any less and stuffed its long-lost cousins down into their unhinged jaw. Saw-like teeth greeted the Wendigos that have been devoured as every inch of their bodies got ground into meat paste. The Wendigos screeched in pain, the Wendigo shaman watched wide eye in shock.

One of the Chenoo took notice of the Wendigo shaman existences, in a blink of an eye, the Chenoo had already travelled halfway to Dyllis's position. "B- grade Chenoo, it's only exceptional stat is it high defence pared with it steel-like grip when it gets a hold of anything" The Wendigo shaman murmured out of habit when seeing creatures she had searched about before. "Death Flame" Dyllis called out, black particles rushed straight towards her fist forming a raging black flame that dance widely across her fist and snaked up to her shoulder.

The Chenoo finally reached her form without a sweat, standing two feet away from Dyllis's lean figure. Its long snow-covered arms reached out to grab her, it clumsily grabbed at Dyllis form just to feel scorching pain accompanied by tingling pain.

That crawled up its arm quickly getting rid of the snow covering the human flesh that his underneath. It screeches inhumanly attracting the other Chenoos attention. Dyllis made her way closer to the Chenoo in front of her sticking her hand on its chest, the snow bubbled and popped. Breaking through the Chenoo defences quickly.

Dyllis flamed covered hand dug inside the Chenoo body while twisting and turning her limbs to dodge the flimsy long limbs of the chenoos, with a sickening crack. Dyllis managed to wrap her claws around its heart destroying the chenoo, she took a few steps back and eyes her surroundings.

Flames and lavas massacre the chenoos thankfully forcing the snow cannibal monster's attention on the mages instead. Dyllis relaxed a tiny bit and searched through the Chenoo ashes to find two dark sparkling gems "Hello my clanmates" she spoke to the sparkling gems like they were alive.

'System how are my clanmates? And why are they in this form?' Dyllis furrowed her light blue brows in concern.

"Host they are currently in a crystal-like state due to being devoured by your species cousins. Use your mana to receive them back into their humanoid form. Caution the sleeping clansmen will most likely suffer a high risk of losing their loyalty status towards the host." The system spoke like a concerned mother hen, Dyllis wanted to laugh but decided not to.

She let out a breath of air and looked around at the chenoos who are dying from left to right.

"I'll bring you two back later once we are safe and sound" she promised the black gems, placing them in her Saturn space storage necklace for safekeeping. She looked about at the piles of ash piles "go through the ash piles, small black gems should be inside. I would like you all to hand those over to me for the time being" Dyllis ordered has still before hurrying back into her tent to reactivate her ability called Projector.

Multiple mini-screens popped up showcasing the inside of the city that she had managed to get to before getting run out by the chenoos. Her eyes ran over every screen checking for any weakness in the thorn walls defence.

Her eyes widen on one particular screen she enlarged the screen and deactivate the others, two strolled by a well-engraved wall of ice "I bet that wall has a formation to teleport us inside" Dyllis murmured, excitement welled up from her chest giving her a nearly suffocating feeling. If she had a beating heart she swore it would have been beating faster than the speed of sound by how excited she felt currently.

"Charolette comes to my tent immediately" Dyllis spoke telepathically to one of her new members who knew many things about the fae such as their markings and what they mean. Ten minutes passed when a tall girl standing head to head with Dyllis. Charlotte pushed her glasses up the bridge of her nose.

Charlotte is a young woman in her mid-twenties who spent most of her life researching the fae race. Charlotte had small slightly pointed ears that stuck outwards a bit. Red curly hair lay messily tied up into a small ponytail, giving her a college student-like air. She looked overall cute and intelligent.

She placed a thick book down on the table that so happens to be placed in the middle of the large tent. A few creates stacked up against the tent wall. The wendigo sham cleared her throat and pointed at the currently enlarged flatscreen showing footage of an ancient wall with elegant carvings drawn into it many years ago in a weird formation. This wall caught the Wendigo shaman the interest the most is because no vines of ice or thorns hid away its elegant nature. "Charlotte, can you time me what those carvings say?" Dyllis inquired the red-haired Wendigo, opened the thick book.

Observing the red-haired Wendigo, Dyllis couldn't help but smile at her reactions, she took multiple looks towards the screen uttering "No way" Charlotte flip through the pages. The Wendigo shaman waited patiently for the answers "Lady Dyllis, four people can go in and out of that portal once. So if you decide to take a small group into there please think carefully about who you bring" Charlotte offers a polite concern. Dyllis let the red hair young lady's words sunk in "Can you ask for Tobca to come to my tent" after careful consideration, she just wanted another person pervistive on her decision.

The red nodded her head, she headed outside the tent to find her second boss. Once alone the shaman let out a soft sigh "Is my plan insane system?" asking her question out loud. Many plans form then fell apart just as quickly it was formed "The probability of your plan to go through successfully is 37%. The chance of failure is 63% I hope this will help you host" the system replied in a robotic voice "I think thirty-seven percent is good odds" Dyllis laughed Merrily, maybe she had gone insane without realizing it.

Past Dyllis wouldn't have taken those chances nor would she each other. At some point when she looked in the mirror, she stopped feeling disgusted towards herself but the question was when? She genuinely looked into the full body mirror with a look of arrogance. Despite her decaying flesh and some of her bones showing "I look pretty despite my flaws", she murmured, dazing off she failed to realize some snuck up from behind her. Light laughter filled the room "Of course you're pretty, you always have been my parina~" The owner of the voice hugged Dyllis from behind.

Dyllis's whole body became stiff as a corpse. A thick blush covered the cannibal's cheeks "Y-you think I'm pretty even though I am full of decay?" Dyllis utter in disbelief. The woman hugging her grip tighten around Dyllis's slim waist. A loud coughing sound brought the pair of lovers out of the moment "I could leave and let you two have your moments-" Charlotte with a flushed face spoke. The water fae looked at Charlotte playfully "if you leave us alone now, you won't be seeing your lovely master for a few days" Tobca stated playfully with an "innocent" smile.

The cannibal face turned into a deeper shade of gray "Tobca!" Dyllis exclaimed feeling bashful "I-I wanted to get your opinion on a plan of mine" Dyllis stuttered, Tobca made an Oh sound. "What's your plan then love?" Tobca asked, refusing to stop bugging the cannibal from behind.

"I plan to enter here by using this winter fae formation, the problem is I can only bring three others with me. The first person I wanna bring with me is Blizzard as I wanna put his abilities to a test" Dyllis took in a breather before continuing. "The second individual I want to bring along is our dark mole Knight. I plan to infuse him with this gem" she brought out one of the black jewels that were smoother and rounded more than the others.

"What will happen when you do?" Tobca asked concern "That's the thing, it could be a success and he would gain a random ability or better yet get his grade boosted up-close to my rank" Dyllis tried best to explain. Tobca furrow her brows even further "Don't tell me he will die if you fail" the water fae expresses her uneasiness. The cannibal shook her head "No he will revert into his original form" Dyllis stated sadly as memories of hunting with the adorable but ugly mole.

A few Wendigos enter the tent with their arms filled with black gems. "we are sorry for interrupting but here are the gems you asked for" a mature voice stated, they proceeded to place the gems onto the table which Dyllis put them away in her Saturn storage necklace. Dyllis smiled at her people before waving them off in dismissal.

"Love just what are these gems?" the water fae asked. The cannibal smiled sadly "They were some of my people. getting eaten by something similar to myself turns them into a small gem filled with dark mana energy" she finished "They will be very hungry once they awaken up" she muttered to herself.

"Who are the other people you are bringing with you?" Tobca asked, her eyes twinkling. The Wendigo shaman smiled at Tobca "I need you to stay with my army" Tobca unwrapped her arms from Dyllis's torso. "Why?" she asked surprised.
