His attack was more to warn and show conviction to save face, as he could be considered a Senior regarding age to the King.

Unfortunately, the King of the Moth Kingdom didn't think like that, as he immediately fought back, and managed to push the Consort back.

Not only that, but he made sure to actually incite a cut to the Consort's wings as a reminder that he had messed with someone he shouldn't.

Of course, he did that fully knowing that this was a disgrace to the Flaming Butterflies race, thinking that it was what the opponent deserved.

But he had clearly underestimated the gravity of his actions, as that made the Consort go full rage mode losing all clarity.
