"I'm sorry!! Please!! Just spare my family!"
The man pleaded as he was tied up on a chair at an abandoned shipping dock late in the evening. He was already begging for his life and his family. There were about six men that gathered around him looking all disappointed at him because he used to be their comrade, their brother.
"You should have known better, Chen!" The other man stated as he pulled Chen's hair to face him.
"You know the consequences. You knew that he will catch up with you. And there's nothing we could do about it." He sighed as he let his hair go. He crossed his arms and turned his back on him as he couldn't bring himself to look at Chen at the moment.
"You could just let me go! I'll hide properly this time! My flight leaves in three hours and you'll never hear from me again!" Chen pleaded once more, most definitely terrified of facing the 'consequences'.
"There's no hope for you, Chen. Hide all you want but he's going to find you no matter where you are around the world. Cause he's-"
"Here." A man in a luxurious vibrant red suit had said. He walked with grace as his heels clicked on the floor that resembled the ticking of the clock. He wore a golden chain right under his collar with the golden dragon pendant that hung on the center. He had multiple rings on all his fingers. His hair was cut to the side which emphasized the volume and showing off his godlike appearance.
A man hurriedly went behind him and helped this elite take off his blazer that showed how his dress shirt was almost popping because of how ripped the man was. He then started humming to an eerie lullaby as he started rolling up his sleeves. Up until now, no one dared to speak because they could feel this powerful aura emanating from the man.
"Mr. Li Chen, do you know why you're here?" The man gracefully spoke and started removing his rings one by one, placing them on the palm of the hands of one of his men that offered.
"Sir, Park. I- UGHHHH No one saw the man coming as he kicked Chen on the stomach that sent him flying across the floor.
"Pick him up!" The man's voice boomed in the night sky. He pulled out his custom made brass-knuckled and clanked them together. He laughed as his men brought Chen up in front of him.
He then leaned down and gripped Chen by the chin and smiled. "I'll make it a little bit easier for you since it's so late and I haven't slept for days because apparently… It's a season where people have the balls to fuck me over. So… If you don't tell me why you're here…" He paused and snapped his finger and his men set Chen's hands free. He didn't waste any time as he grabbed a fist full of Chen's hair and his hand and broke a finger. He smiled, even more, when he heard this puny man scream in pain. "I'll have the luxury of…" SNAP "breaking…" SNAP "every" SNAP SNAP SNAP "bone in your…" SNAP SNAP "body…"
Mr. Park started laughing at how fast he was breaking Chen's fingers and how ugly they looked. He stopped laughing since he felt the excitement bubbling him up inside. Chen wasn't telling him yet the reason so he continued breaking the man's fingers with his bare hands. He laughed at how Chen struggled and tried to break free but it was no use.
"I SOLD IT!!!" He burst. "I stole the prototype… A-And sold it to the enemy!" He wept. Chen thought that his former boss would give him a break but alas, it made him even angrier.
"YES!! You fucking sold that tech that we've been working on for years! It could have saved those lives, Chen! If it weren't for you, then…" he paused, and instead he started beating the man up left and right. No one dared to stop even when they could hear their former friend's skull was cracking since what Chen did was unacceptable.
The prototype that Golden Dragon Family funded over the years was supposed to be the tech that would help people. It was the tech that would give the disabled hope to be whole again. The prototype was a chip that when implanted in the area that misfunctioned or the reason as to why they can't either see, walk, hold, and hold. There was a hospital that served as a rehabilitation center for the mental health of people with disabilities.
The tech that had been stolen was supposed to be launched by the Park Electronics Company and its first users were the patients of that hospital. The launch was canceled and three patients died by committing suicide because they were given false hope. The company didn't give any much detail because it was a confidential technology and it had gone missing. The patients were distraught by this and thought that the rich have always overpowered the poor, what more would it be even towards them, useless to society. So there were some that committed suicide and failed while there were three that succeeded… The mafia boss's friend included.
The tech was supposed to be a gift to his childhood friend, Yukiyo that got in a car accident, taking away her sight and legs. It was supposed to be a gift to her. And because she has always loved sharing her blessings, he thought to create a project that would help multiple patients without sacrificing for the cost. But… that is only a mere dream now since they lost it.
"Yah! Park Yejun!" a voice called out. The man stopped beating the man's face and turned around to see his best friend with a pitiful look on his face. The man wore an all-black suit with a turtle neck thin sweater underneath with a silver chain that adorned his chess. He pointed out Chen's face with his chin that made Yejun look back and saw how distorted it was and heard a faint please.
"Wonshik…" Yejun whispered. Jeon Wonshik is the only person that could snap out this dragon from devouring his prey completely. That would make sense since they have been childhood friends also, together with Yukiyo.
"She won't come back. You know that right?"
"I know… But it still feels so good to beat the living shit out of him at least."
Wonshik sighed and slowly walked closer to Chen. He leaned down licked his lips before looking at Yejun. "We located where the prototype is. He sold it to Seokjin-hyung." And with that Yejun's anger increased.
"Fucking bastard. He knows very well that I hate him and he sold it to him!"
Wonshik chuckled and brought out his silver butterfly knife and eyed it carefully. He loved the way the moonlight reflected its light on it. He smiled before averting his gaze on Chen. He clicked his tongue on the side as he watched him plead with his eyes. "Leave some fun for me…"
And with that, the dragon and his right-hand man tore Chen apart like rabid animals. The men only stood there and watched as their traitor of a comrade died in the hands of their boss. The night was filled with agony cries, cracking bones, and splurting blood.
They knew that this family was mourning as well as their pain since they have met Yukiyo themselves. This also serves as a reminder that no one fucks up the Golden Dragon Family and gets away with it. And the whole world knows that.
