Before the transformation, the lion was relatively small. One could even say that it was smaller than a wolf beast. There was no dispute that it was minuscule compared to a bull. 

But now, this mountain lion was a size larger than a bull.

One could only imagine how overwhelming it was to face a beast this huge. The other beasts around backed away in fear while the escorts were shocked beyond words.
