"WELL HELLO ISLA. I DID SAY WE WOULD MEET AGAIN, DIDN'T I?"
A familiar pair of dark eyes stared back at my shocked ones. There, in the shadows, hid a tall man. Despite the big hat covering his half his face, my blood ran cold when I realized who was in front of me. Removing his slender fingers from his pockets, he crossed his arms, taking a step closer. It was then his face cleared from the shadow, and a shiver ran through me at his sly smirk.
"It's a pleasure to properly meet you," His voice was smooth, clear and calculated. "I'm Vincent. I'm afraid last time our introduction was quite brief."
"W-What are you doing here?" I whispered, my voice almost getting lost in the rain.
"What? Does a man need a reason to visit his son, nowadays?"
"We both know you're not here to see Xeros," I spat. "What the hell do you want?"
His polite expression dropped in less than a second. His eyes were unmoving as he stared right at me, almost locking me in place.
