I remember thinking, once upon a time, that trees were the biggest living things in the world. Of course, having to run around the property just within the tree hedge, itself within an eight foot mortar wall was incentive.
Even at eighteen inches or so… my system called it fifteen, but I couldn't really be THAT small again, could I have? I suppose so.
Even at fifteen inches, the trees looming above me, I could tell I'd seen taller. Heck, I'd seen a Cyclops, in my former life.
Uhgh, it was no use. My brain was going to die of boredom before I finished. I was supposed to be tired, but even without using my [Fleet of Foot] ability, that wasn't likely to happen.
Even at a quarter of my normal size, and carrying the Spear, I made good time. I almost ran right past Velana without recognizing her.
I nodded at her, and tried just that, but she waved a hand to stop me.
"So much running." she said, "And you aren't even winded."
Okay, Mondays are just out. I'm not saying I won't ever write on a Monday, but I can't promise I will, either. On the plus side, LibreOffice is easy to learn, and at the very least, it doesn't slow me down.
Also, the mentioned time skip is coming; probably next chapter, but more likely the one after that. Honestly, I think I need to get back to intrigue and politics.
As always, thank you for your ongoing readership. It's just that someone hit the FAST mode on life's crap-o-meter.
