Whatever. If my god really had something important for me, I'm sure my lack of sleep wasn't really a problem for him.
The rest of the night went well for those of us who thought to bring our bedrolls. Quiet, orderly. Those of us who could find the person on the next guard shift, anyway. Another lesson we'd taught ourselves. Always know who has the guard shift after you, and where they slept.

And that was important. [Sun], [Moon], [Sky]. With that, I could try to melt [Celestial Heavens] mana, and with that I could summon my spirit guide.
Oh, good, this widget is working again today. And in spite of life being... well, life, I found enough time to complete a chapter. Not a critical one, and not a page turner, but hopefully with a few more wrinkles that weren't totally foreshadowed.
