บท 20: I'm your Hero
It has been two days since Toru came to my house and since then she has been regularly visiting our house and spends most of her time training her quirk with Jiro and Momo providing all the theoretical knowledge. Why they didn't ask me, well Toru would recede into a dillusional world she makes imagining doing lewd stuff with me *cough 'hand holding'.
Anyway right now I've been sent by the girls to the grocery store to buy them there stuff for that day of the month and right now I just decided to stroll leisurely enjoying the everyday life of people working in store, going to their office, on dates etc.
Everything was going well when I suddenly got a notification and my face turned grim and serious.
Apparently one of my underworld contacts spotted a man with a crow beak mask along with a nearly 5 year old kid on the other side of the town from where I was. I immediately threw the bags into my inventory and buffed myself up and started running not to that part of the town but somewhere I need to give a heads up.
It took me only few seconds to reach the teacher's lounge at the U.A High. There I found Aizawa along with Nemuri and Ectoplasm lazing around.
"Aizawa sensei" I said in a grim voice.
This immediately caught his attention and looked at me with a serious look.
"I am going to the other part of the town to rescue someone and...." I stopped and looked towards other's briefly
"....It might get bloody."
I said while warping from there without caring for their expressions to the nearest coordinates I had towards that place. I then enhanced myself and started running around while giving out mana pulses around to sense all beings hit by it.
I kept running around and warping all around the place using [Mana Sensory] which had a range of about 200 m which was constantly increasing with my improving brain as it is as much I could take with the load of so much amount of information at one point but finally I hit jackpot.
I sensed standing from the roof a three storey apartment in an down trodden flat a few blocks away. There were two adult individuals and a 5 year old girl. Now unlike other reckless mfs I didn't immediately barged in as I could see that currently they were not experimenting with her and if by off chance they would have been I would do what I told Aizawa.
Anyway, I saw that they had brought the girl in one of the rooms of the beat down flat and left her there shivering in fright and themselves left to the main hall. Now I could currently kill them and get done with it. But unlike those unrealistic ffs where the MC gets scott free after killing I could get at most after crippling one. I mean a life is a life no matter who takes it and whose is taken its wrong except the rare off cases or last resorts.
I kept observing for 10 mins and saw one of them now drunk laying asleep on a couch and other just sitting there, so I did the next important step. I warped myself inside the sleeping girl's room and checked around while activating [Stealth] and [Hide Presence] for any cameras or devices to keep watch on her and surprisingly there were none. So I just erected the wards from the HP world to form sound isolation and notice me not charms that work as long as no one is actively searching for it.
"Little girl, wake up" I said in a soft and in the most warm voice I could speak with.
"W.. who!?" she woke up terrified with a jerk and scooted herself at the edge of the bed. This completely broke my heart but I controlled myself from doing anything stupid to make the girl worried and warn the others.
"Don't worry little girl, I came to save you." I tried to reassure her.
"S.. save me?" she questioned.
"Un" I nodded with the most warmly smile I could manage.
"N..no y... you i.. imme.. immediately escape from h.. here, h.. he will hur..hurt you." hearing her my contempt for her so called father just kept rising. How could he do that to such a pure hearted girl, HOW?
"Don't worry little girl, I am plenty strong far far stronger than that person." I reassured.
"Someone else also s.. said that b.. but he er.. erased that person, p.. please leave, I d.. don't want you h.. hurt because of m.. me."
Hearing her I couldn't help but blame myself to come looking for her much earlier, maybe I could have avoided her torment at the hands of that inhuman bastard. At that moment, I swore that after securing her and give her the warmth she needed I will come looking for him and torture him in the same manner he did, rip him apart and assemble him again and over and over again and when he has lost hope I'll bring him in front of the strong girl and help her grant her freedom, freedom from this dark past of hers.
"You don't need to worry about that, you see I'm a hero." I told her while scooping the trembling her up in my arm and gently patting her head to soothe her,
"R.. really, ar.. are you a h.. hero." she said with tears forming on the tip of her eyes
"Yes" I said softly clearing the tears formed on her big round mesmerizing eyes which were filled with hope and possibility of freedom from this cage
"A.. are you re.. really my hero?" she said with increased tears.
"Hmm, what's your name little girl."
"Eri" she said while rubbing her eyes of the tears.
"Well Eri...."
While mustering the biggest gentle smile full of radiance and promising warmth, worry, rage and care for her I said.
"I'm your Hero."
