บท 2191: Sparring

Emery stood in the center of the training ground, the sun casting long shadows across the yard. On either side of him stood two formidable grand magus: the purple-haired Fantasme, a fierce female warrior of wolf bloodline, and Anpu, the dark-skinned jackal hybrid. The crowd around them watched in anticipation, sensing the tension in the air.

Anpu, a loyal follower for the past four years, had proven his worth during the pirate campaign. He bowed deeply to Emery, his respect and allegiance clear. Fantasme, however, was different. She had been forced into service by the Silvermane faction. While she displayed courtesy toward Emery, it was more out of respect for the Alpha King than genuine reverence for Emery himself.

"Lord, I think it's unwise to fight both of us," Fantasme said, her tone respectful but her eyes challenging.
