บท 55: Chapter 55: Back Home

"Jack, look." Ellie pointed to one of her screens. "It's the election footage from the other night."

"Did you see her?" he asked eagerly. Jack pulled a rolling chair up next to her lab bench.

The congressman elect, Henry Truex, stood at a podium speaking to his audience. He wore an expensive suit and his green eyes pierced right through the screen as if he was looking right at the viewer. He spread his arms out, "We can unite together. I will make our nation stronger. We can all live in peace and happiness without the fear of prejudice. And just as my wife continues to help the humans, I too, will come together and unite our races under one nation. We can be whole again."
